I AM EXHAUSTED! MY LEGS ARE TIRED!
Alright, I totally love today's mini outing with the rest of the TRIO - Clara and Sharon. I personally enjoyed it really much. The best part of the outing was DINNER!

Let's start from the TOP!

I left home at around 1030 to school - in home clothes - to pay a visit to the choir. I was kinda worried I would be denied access into the school campus as it was the very first time I am passing through the school gates in home clothes without any permission. As I was strolling to school, I saw Mr Chun! I wasn't very sure that it was him initially but gave a call anyway. Indeed, it turns out to be him. So we walked to school and chatted a bit along the way. He saw that I had some books in my hand and asked why isn't there a Physics TYS or Physics TB. He did ask indirectly via his MSN personal message for those two items from us graduates but I had not expect to see him in school today, and thus the reason why I didn't bring either of them along.

I had brought a SS Sec 4 TB, English 4A TB and WB to give away only cause I plan to call the juniors up my house to get the books themselves before I dispose of them. So the 3 books ended up in Jordon's hands.

They are singing some interesting songs, the choir. I can't wait to join them at the concert! Many seniors (like myself) are coming back to perform, I am very sure that it would be very exciting and fun and great!

Yi Jun had brought a large pile of books today to give away. Some books were left at the collection area set up by Fairprice in school, while most of the books were given out to the juniors in choir. I and Clara had to go down to help her bring the books up initially from her cab. She had really brought quite a lot of books.

Ms Seah also gave out the SYF'09 photos to us, that we previously ordered. Clara ordered the smallest size can. So cheapo. Hahas.

*SKIPPING SOME UNFATEFUL CONTENTS*

Then after practice, I and Clara went to have lunch at the hawker centre in the neighbourhood and we rushed down to Tanglin Shopping Centre to meet up with Sharon by bus from the bus interchange.

The journey to Orchard Road was surprisingly short. Both Clara and I thought it was going to be a very long journey, but I guess between bus and train, taking the bus made great difference to the time needed to reach our destination. It only took like 20-30 minutes to reach there from Bukit Batok area, as compared to a rough estimation of 40-50 minutes if we were to have took the train.

Having been there once, I led and we located Sharon's workplace in no time. She was waiting for her in-charge to reach the shop so that she can leave, and so I and Clara stayed around and waited too. Clara took interest in the terracotta soldier that is sold in Sharon's shop and plans to make purchase of it for her father's birthday. As she did not have enough cash with her, Clara made a verbal reservation instead.


Sharon was told that there would be nice and cheap food to eat at Orchard Central and we started our search to Orchard Central. It couldn't be located on the locality map that we could find in the area and this made us kinda puzzled. I tried to ask for directions and it kinda gave us a rough idea of which way to go. We practically walked from one end of Orchard Road to the other end before we could locate Orchard Central. We couldn't find the entrace to it and initially mistook 313 as it, and as 313 had no been completed, we were almost disheartened to find Orchard Central and were ready to dismiss it as a myth. By chance, we found that we had walked slightly off course and managed to find our way to Orchard Central in the end.

We went all the way to the rooftop garden of Orchard Central and realised that there wasn't any nice sceneries to see. Singapore is indeed a concrete jungle. Then we walked around Orchard Central hoping to find something affordable to settle on dinner but to no avail. There were plenty of decent Japanese restaurants here but nothing affordable. So we went across the road to Centrepoint after much effort.

It was a great decision to go to Centrepoint to settle on our dinner. However, we had a problem: we didn't know which fastfood restaurant to go! It was either Long John Silvers, Macdonalds or Subway. We sat down at Long John Silvers (which was very empty in comparison with the other two) and were unwilling to make purchase of anything there. The girls couldn't decide on what to get, you see. So we ended up at Subway. Clara initially also suggested that we eat at Kopitiam but was denied flatly by Sharon, while I had no opinion.

The girls were on to the idea of having the $7.80 meal at New York New York, but I was their barrier. I hadn't had enough cash to afford that. They had originally thought maybe they could fill up the gaps for me, but it was just too big a gap after we enquired on the cost of the meal per pax after service charge and GST. So we skipped the thought and went back to Subway. We were very lucky as the restaurant was rather pack at that moment and we were glad that we would be able to get seats for all of us. Phew.

We talked as we ate and talked for quite a while even after eating. We had a great time and chatting and that was why it was the main highlight, personally, for the day. I enjoyed myself very much today. TRIO FTW~ =p

We had some trouble following the signs to the restrooms which was kinda comical. We found the gents but there wasn't the ladies beside it. Sharon kept on saying "... gents and ladies together..." Clara and I were like "Gosh. 'Beside' is the word, not 'together'. That sounds so wrong." Then we brought up the fact that our school staff toilets are unisex too.

Yeap, the above is rather much everything that happened today. A day to remember and hopeful that greater, better and more of such days to come; days to enjoy with the rest of the TRIO. =DDD

I some how find it difficult to get a breather these days. Life's been pretty hectic even though, at the same time, I might be doing some thing I like and enjoy. Been thinking and thinking, so many worries. I may sound confident when talking about how my O level results are going to turn out to be, yet I do feel worried about it. It is definitely gonna be a hellish experience. One that I would give everything to not let it happen again. Yet, in life, I still have a number of major examinations to go through before I reach my goal - to be a Physicist.

There was a time before I return to post that I had this idea of how hypocritical everyone is in the society today. Masks, everyone wear masks. Anywhere. Anytime. You can probably consider that as a sudden realisation, an enlightenment.

I made a major decision lately and I don't know how long can hold onto it. It would most definitely make a difference to my life, just like how the previous decision affected me. I was prepared for the worst, but to my surprise, everything has been a breeze so far. The plan is running smoothly and there doesn't seem to be any obstacles ahead. Yet I can't help to feel that A is just so much of a dissapointment. It disgust me to a certain extent, truth to be told. I am thankful for the advice that the girls - Sharon and Clara - provided that night during Choir Camp, most thankful. It is had to hold on to something that is surreal and not yours. I did realise that it was probably just a final resistance put up by Obstination.

TANGLING MALL???
Jingwen came over to my house yesterday afternoon to get some books that he needs. Supposedly Yu Sheng is coming over tomorrow, but because I would be leaving for Malaysia tomorrow morning, he wouldn't be able to come and get the books he needs. Jingwen then stayed around and accompanied me for lunch at the hawker centre nearby. Then we walked down to Lot 1 Shoppers' Mall where we went on separate paths, him heading for Popular to get some things while I headed for the MRT Station.

I had decided to give Sharon a surprise at work yesterday, which didn't turn out to be much of a surprise in the end. I had trouble finding my way to Tanglin Mall, where she supposedly work at, from Orchard MRT Station. I had to ask for directions from a man, and before that I even called up my father. My father had to be exaggerating when he said Tanglin Mall is near Orchard ION, because it was a long path down the road to get to Sharon's workplace. I spent like an hour trying to find my way to her workplace and finally reached Tanglin Mall after much sweat and effort.

I thought my misery was about to end and before I set off to locate her shop at Tanglin Mall, I went to the restroom to wash up as I was very sweaty - I was in black and the weather was very hot. I walked around Tanglin Mall, checked the directory and at the end of my wits I asked the service counter for directions to "Asian Legends" - the shop that Sharon works at - but failed. There is no such shop at Tanglin Mall. I was frustrated. Sharon had to be pulling my leg or making a joke out of it, I thought. Then I had the idea that I might had I heard it wrongly, maybe it was Tanglin Shopping Centre or Tanglin Plaza or something like that. The road down is Tanglin Road and there were plenty of shops I could see, and so I strolled down the street hoping to find the shop "Asian Legends" - my only lead to where Sharon works at.

So I was walking pass Tanglin Shopping Centre, nearing the end of the Tanglin Road and at the end of my wits when something caught the corner of my eye. I saw a shop called "Asian Legends". I heaved a sigh of relief for I believe my journey had finally ended. And it turns out that she was tending to the shop after all, I had finally found my way here. Sharon had turned off her handphone and I couldn't contact Fiona who had introduced Sharon the work so there was no way for me to confirmed Sharon's shop location at all. It was purely out of luck, I suppose, that I would be able find my way to Sharon's workplace at the end.

The surprise was no longer a surprise as I had totally lost all mood of giving her a surprise. And so I stayed around to give her company till she ended work. The shop really does sell quite a wide variety of gifts and clothings. I took interest in this shirt that the shop sells that had the wordings "Singapore is a FINE City", and at the back it had the printings of all the fines that Singapore implemented. Thought it was rather cynical but interesting, still. Let's just say she is lucky to have a GOOD friend like me who had nothing better to do then to go all the way to town to keep her company at her boring workplace.

Lucky I didn't had Jingwen with me, if not he would have to run all the way round and round with me. Not forgetting that he has skin problems - he can't sweat too much or he would get rashes.


After work, we took a short walk in Orchard ION. Sharon wanted to show me the steam burger store that is owned by a local celebrity, but she couldn't find the place. Oh well.

I am planning to go down to Plaza Singapura maybe on the 1st or 2nd of December to take a walk and see the piano stores in the building. If the Peninsula is the hub of guitar in Singapore, then Plaza Singapura would be the hub of piano in Singapore. I bet it is going to be a great experience too!

P/S: I would be leaving for Malaysia tomorrow morning and would only be back on Sunday afternoon.

Life's been boring...
Life at home rotates about playing DotA and not doing anything else. Even listening to music can be a bore somehow. Luckily for me, I always have a way!

I am planning to invest on music development and I went down to the Peninsula this afternoon with Andrew to get new Classical Guitar Strings. Andrew agreed to teach me how to play the guitar at a cost of $10 per session, and per session meant regardless of the hours spent. It is rather tempting but then I have yet to find a job. So I asked that he gives me free lessons temporarily? Then when I found a job get my money coming in, I'll pay him for teaching me guitar.

The trip down to the Peninsula was an eye-opener. I saw many guitars, big and small, and of different brands and colours. Bass, Classical, Acoustic, Electric, you name it the Peninsula have it. I had always known that the Peninsula has many stores that sells shoes, but only today did I found out that they have quite a number of guitar stores. I have never seen so many guitars in my life. The most expensive guitar I saw cost 3k! It is a electric acoustic guitar if I am not mistaken.

We entered this Maestro store and saw plenty Maestro guitars. Maestro guitars are locally made and they are excellent guitars. I saw this very small guitar then I asked Andrew what's the difference between that and the other guitars. He said smaller size softer sound. The lady at the store kinda turned sharped and commented that it is a Alto guitar and it is meant to be that small. The volume is just as loud as any other bigger size guitar too. I was like embarrassed!

I could tell that she was not exactly happy some how. Perhaps because Andrew walked in and sat down at some- I don't know what thing, and that we were just around to LOOK and not make purchase of anything. She most probably had a bad day, maybe the business was not good. They have gotta work on their customer service though if they want more businesses.

My target is to raise up like $200+ and get a new acoustic guitar. If I can't meet the $200+ target and left by half, I could make do with another guitar that is $105. Andrew said it is quite good. Well, practically anything is better than my red classical guitar (that was using acoustic guitar strings) now. I am still using the present guitar because I haven't got the cash to change my guitar yet. Hopeful that I would find a job and raise the money in time. Need at least $200-300 cause I'd need to get a capo and a proper tuner.

How bad is my present red classical guitar you ask? It goes out of tune in minutes! Andrew said that the tuning keys are loose and thus the strings gets loose in no time too. So that explains why issit so difficult to tune my guitar. I also learnt from him how to restring today as we sat at flight of stairs at the Peninsula to restring my guitar. It was tough job that required a lot of paitence.

4E2'09 CHALET'09...
was great! Although we had a few hiccups here and there and faced opposition from the weather. The weather was really bad yesterday afternoon and I totally got soaked in the rain.

Guess who turned up last at the meeting point at Jurong East MRT Station. Yi Jun! She caused me, Clara and Sharon to have to pay extra $2 for overstay. It wasn't planned that all 3 of us was to kenna overstay okay. Purely coincidence. So in a way, Yi Jun owes us one for being late. Derrick also managed to convince Shaolun and Junyan to join us. Shaolun even tried to hide the fact that he was coming by lying to me and Sharon even though Derrick had already spilt the beans.

When we reach our chalet it had already began to drizzle and not long after that, it began to pour heavily. We could barely leave our room and we had yet to eat lunch, not forgetting we only had 4 umbrellas with us. We had originally thought that perhaps we could call up for McDonalds, KFC or PizzaHut, but we soon abandoned the thought and some of us - Sharon, Yan Jie, Yi Jun, Wan Xuan and Me - went to buy McDonald's back for the rest. Yan Jie, Yi Jun and Wan Xuan had a change in mind and chose to eat at the food court, leaving me and Sharon to bring back the food for the rest from McDonald's. On our way back to the room, we met up with Zhi Ting who was totally drenched from the rain.

So after that, Clara, Kwung Teng went to join Yan Jie and the rest at the Food Court as they didn't want to have McDonald's. After lunch we stayed in the room, hoped and prayed hard that the rain would stop soon. Mr Pu join us soon and after awhile, as it became a drizzle, we began to start work. We got our umbrellas and started to BBQ the food that we had made purchase from the wholesaler.

I enjoyed being in-charge of cooking the food, I kinda found satisfaction from all the work and it was quite an interesting experience as everyone crowded around the place to help out. Sharon was the ButterGirl, Hoe Xian the Margarine Boy, etc. So we had some funny moments even though it was still raining. We cleared all our food in around 2 hours and got back into the room to slack away.

Shortly, when everyone settled down and began to watch tv/movie on DVD, Sharon, Hoe Xian and I were on the move to accomplish our job - to get a cake for Clara and helped Hoe Xian find an appropriate present for Clara's birthday. I managed to sneak back into the room and put the cake in the fridge.

Shortly afterwards, we went down to the E!Hub later at midnight to find some entertainment. We wanted to play billiard/pool, however, as Qinli was not of age yet we could not play as a group and thus abandoned the thought too. We instead went to Zone-X and fooled around. I won both Clara and Sharon in Daytona! Clara almost won me but at the very last moment, I managed to overtake her and won the race. I also managed to understand how to do a drift on Daytona too, which was the main factor to why I could race so fast against Clara. I was quite shock that Clara was actually quite good at it, while Sharon was just trailing behind both of us.

We returned back to our rooms and began to pack some things that we would need and head down to the beach. We celebrated Clara's birthday there and then and it was kinda messy as the grass were muddy and practically all of us had mud on our feet by the time we return back to the room. We could not stay long as the wind was blowing really great and Li Ying had began to show symptoms of catching a cold, and so we returned.

We laze around in the room and watched G.I Joe until around 3am. Some of us decided to turn in for the night while others decided to stay up through the night and I belonged to the latter. Sharon, Hoe Xian, Aloisius, Fiona, Leon and Me stayed up chat. While, they chatted while I just plugged in the ear phones into my ears and listened to music as a mean of keeping myself awake.

The change in the tone of the sky as the sun began to rise was beautiful! Sadly, I didn't bring my camera out from the room and only had my handphone with me. It wasn't able to capture all the beautiful moments and to me that was such a waste.





The 2D1N chalet came to an end and I felt that it was just too short. Oh well, there will have to be another chalet next time. Breakfast at the food court was plain and quick as everyone was too exhausted. Everyone missed their own beds at home and couldn't wait to get back home immediately, which includes myself.

Had to admit, the post is gonna dry and boring... Luckily, there are always photos to make up for it. I shall let the photos do the talking from here on.

CHOIR CAMP'09...
had been an exceptional one, very meaningful. I was very very impress by the whole arrangement that the Sec 3 Ex-Co had planned out. It was really beautiful, unique and memorable. I felt kinda guilty we weren't able to give the same kinda treatment during the last choir camp when my batch was in charge. This year's choir camp was really an eye-opener. The Sec3s are really very creative and very careful in dealing with all the minute details which was the reason that made this choir camp such a great success.

Sadly, some could not or would not attend. "What a waste," I would say to them. It really made all the Sec4s and the other alumni that came back for the dinner felt appreciated.

The Sec3s were very creative in coordinating the games and Incorporated the scary element in their games. This definitely made the games much more interesting, in particular the Treasure Hunt. The Sec3s hid themselves in places where the clues are at and scare the crowd unaware. The girls were practically screaming on the top of their lungs as they were roaming about the school searching for clues.

The Sec3s also planned out the plot and came up with a Mystery Solving game that made everyone acted like Sherlock Homes. This, once again, portrayed their creativity as it was nothing like before. The game rotates about a murder case of an old lady called Mrs Jessica Evans (played by Jia Yu) and the suspects: Leanette (played by Winnie), the stepdaughter; Eddie (played by Jermyn), the brother of Mdm Jessica Evans; and Tessa (played by Janice), the butler of the mansion on the Evans.

So the various groups searched for clues in the school campus finally linking up all the clues to solve the mystery. The end result was that Leanette killed her stepmother and my team had the best explanation to solve the case. Case solved!

At night, I sneaked into the Sec4 girls bunk and hang around, had fun with the guitar. We kinda attract a few - Amanda, Grace (Koh) and Shu Li - that were interested in learning how to play the guitar. I was kinda rusty as it has been a long time since I played with my guitar. Well, since I am still on the newbie level at it, it didn't make much of a difference.

• Magic performance by Winnie (that did not turn out well) - "Flame to Rose" trick.

Prom Night'09...
was remarkable. The Highlight of the Day was non-other than taking photos with friends. Everyone was dressed in their best attire and took photos practically every moment when their mouths were not busy chewing on food. The emcee was a cheeky one with some yellow humour in his jokes. Mature content it may be, we are adults now - ladies and gentlemen - no longer boys and girls.

Mrs Carol Chan walked up to stage to speak on behalf of all the teachers that thought the cohort. Some teachers like Mdm Yaw, Mr Chun was not able to attend prom last night.

The whole schedule for the night was revolves around eating and taking photos, and so, the lobby was packed with people standing together in groups or pairs taking photos. I did myself some justice by taking as many photos as I could with my camera, but now and then my camera goes out on me and thus I lost some precious photos. I seemed to be the one who took the least photos on my camera last night.

It was really a pity that Hong Zhang had to fall sick yesterday and thus leading to his absence at prom yesterday. I wanted to take photos with him but wasn't able to. Well, there is still the chalet tomorrow, which meant more photos!

So there may not really be that much to talk about after all. Let's leave it to the photos to do the talking shall we?

SOME wishes to watch me rise, SOME always watches my back and is always behind me in whatever I do, SOME are worried if I get too tired to climb, while OTHERS can't wait to see me fall and never pick up again...

PS: and 1 person makes me want to commit MURDER.

WELCOME BACK!

Yes people, I am BACK! O levels have just ended and I'm already sick. I am school-and-friends-sick (IF there is such a term. If not, I've just created one for it.) It is just saddening -and magical - to see that time in Bukit Batok Secondary School has passed so swiftly, like how they always put it - 'like the wind', or some times 'in a blink of an eye'.

As you can see, I haven't drop 'dashes'. After all this time trying to master it, I guess it has became part of me. I hope that I won't lose touch of it after the long school term break before I receive my O levels results in a few months time from now or before I return to being a student. I am hopeful that I will get in JC and results of Physics and Chemistry Paper showed that it should be highly possible for me to get A1 for both of them. My fruit of labour should be sweet at the end of it all.

The trip down to ION Orchard today with the two gays (joking!) - HJ and William - turned out to be a MESS! It was totally dry and boring as we didn't manage to find anything pleasant and inexpensive. It must be quite unbelievable for me to say that for some one like William Goh, who is rich etc, to be actually very thrifty. He was very unwilling to spend $100 on a neat prom attire and kept on ranting how his heart aches. He was right on one thing though; it isn't right to spend your parents money. He was telling us how he would be working over the holidays to fill up the hole that he has just made coz the money belongs to his parents. He said that he understands the hard work that his parents had put in to earn the money he is spending. So touching.

Since we couldn't find anything at ION Orchard, we went down to Bugis and I led them to Bugis Street where we found exactly what we want: inexpensive and ELEGANT. Prepare to be awed by the attire two of them and myself. It is most probably gonna make you jaw drop (exaggeration noted). On more details of what we bought, wait till prom night - you'll get to see it till you drool all over the place. JOKING!

FRIDAY 13TH - Last Day of O levels
My schedule for the day was extremely full and filled to the brim as it was the last day of the O levels. It was a day for celebration! Watched 2012 with Clara and Sharon at West Mall's Eng Wah Cinemas. The movie was just simply fantabulous. The whole plot rotates about the discovery of the truth - Armageddon, Judgement Day. Determinism was strongly portrayed in the movie when humanity attempts to resist the Second Flood on 21 December 2012 (21.12.2012) having predicted it to happen some where in 2009.

There were plenty of science involved and plenty of religious influence that was portrayed in the movie. There were plenty of scenes in the movie that could be closely linked to the Bible and the first flood. Not just simply because one of the boy in the movie is called Noah and that humanity saved themselves at the end of it all by getting themselves on board an ark made of the best technology that exists at that point of time, nor simply because they boarded 1 pair of animal of all kinds that can be found on Earth - giraffes, lions, elephants, etc.

However, the movie is in commendable due to its special effects and intriguing storyline. Simply remarkable. I'm giving it 5 stars - definitely a must watch!



After the movie I quickly ran back home to take a bath and rush down to Choa Chu Kang Polyclinic to get my seasonal flu vaccine.

Then after that I took a train down to China town to meet up with Clara, Sharon and Sue Yi at KTV Party World for some KTV fun. Mind you, that is my virgin experience to be in a small room with 3 other girls and singing KTV, all at the same time.

It was quite a memorable experience since I paid $16.20 for 3 hours of fun. I was late you see, while the rest spent an hour more than me. It was a costly experience indeed.

Dinner was a bore since I had to eat alone - for the third time - at Lot 1 Shopper's Mall. That's when I began to start missing school and my friends, even though it had only been a few hours since we were separated and we are bound to see each other again at prom.
