Seriously haven't had the time to post all these days. With heavy gaming and slight revision and long hours at school for supplementary lessons. Alright, mainly gaming. Anyway there haven't been much to post about the past few days I thought and due to lack of time, you didn't see me updating the blog. However, I am back today with interesting happenings around me.

Had just came back home from humourous outing with namely, Jordan, Jin Shun, Jun Jia, Zi Oon, Voon Hon. They met up together and started revision at the library on Social Studies. I came around an hour later. I join them at around 8pm after dinner, rushed down straight away. Then I attempt to answer some essay questions with the help of my notes an textbook by my side. Managed to only do one. It had been a tough nut to crack, seriously.

"China was responsible for the Korean War." Do you agree? [12m]

I had to think out how I am going to show that it is not responsible and not to be blamed. And that USSR and USA had set the stage for future conflict over ideological differences. But then I would only have 2 points. Not enough to explain. Had to dig up some rough ideas here and there in the book and notes to compile them for me to write out the essay.

Then now I have Leonard doing, "How successful was ASEAN in dealing with the threat of unstability and tension in the south-east region? Explain your answer." [13m]

This aint very easy too. Two sides of it, how had in been successful? Name some examples where it had been successful. What instances had it not been successful? Name examples too. So yea. Until Leo writes it out I have nothing much to do.

The library closed at 9pm. We found ourselves barely anywhere to study. McDonalds was filled with people. No choice, Jordan suggests we go New York New York.

Much to my expectations, it had been rather much of a bad choice. It seriously had cost us a bomb. The Coke float with ice-cream topping cost around $7 each. We ordered 2. Following the floats was a Freedom Fries. I barely see any freedom behind it however. That cost us another $5. Practically killed us all right on the spot.

The lady serving us like, WTH? 6 people share 1 boat of fries, 2 cups of floats. Although the servings are big, but definitely not to the extent for 6 people. The waiter attending us was rather shock too when it serve us the fries and drinks. We were laughing uncontrollably as the guys talks about their shocked looks. Darn humourous.

So I guess I shall end of here. Until I find another article on Science will I post or I have any further updates on the exams that would start TOMORROW!
So good luck to all even if yours doesn't starts tomorrow.

5.10.08 nearing as the exams arrives...

Quizes.

Some people like to retirement at the age of 65. Compare the amount at age 65 that would result from making an annual deposit of $1000 starting at the age of 20, or from making an annual deposit of $3000 starting at the age of 50, to an RRSP that earns 6% interest per annum, compound annually.

What are the totals of deposits in each situation??
What are the final amount for both situations and state which one is more profitable???

Think you found the answer? Click here

Had another test today, and got back another test paper today. Well in fact it is got back 2 test papers in one day. Had a second Add. Maths Revision Test on Chapter 1-4, and got back the E.Maths Revision Test taken on Monday. Seems like my E.Maths ain't very much rusty. Just gotta make sure that I just don't get any careless on the actual day. And so we did another Add. Maths Revision Test, was quite alright I thought. Kinda rusty. I can still remember that I marginally failed for SA1 on those topics. So I'm not gonna fail it again. Was quite alright I thought.
Anyway, shall just end of here on my papers. I bet it had bored many reading.

Stayed back after school and played basketball. Hadn't touched the ball for quite a while. Kinda rusty, but better than I thought. Then again, I was confident as the guys were just so-so. So that boosted my morale thus my accuracy and stuffs. Jordan improved greatly if you ask me. Truly deserves a thumbs up. He is very much accurate, just not stable, not as focus as me in that sense. His shooting accuracy varies with time, so that might be one thing he might need to train up. So after that, Jun Jia, Senneth, Jin Shun and Kenneth joined in. Played 3v3, but of coz' the team with me won. No doubt. hahas.

Was really sweaty after the game, my bag is wet where I carry it due to my perspiration. No doubt it should kinda stink now. My long pants stink, definitely.
Went down to Westmall as Kenneth wanted to check out the PSP games available in Singapore through Comics Connection so that he could download them throught Bittorrent at home later.
Then of coz' after that we head back home.

Its fun to play with them, thankful I still have them. If I was to pin my hopes on Leonard, I would have turn white by then. He's interests not exactly tally with mine you see. Although we do have things in common, but there are loopholes in it.

Shall end of here. Maybe shall post up a proper Science4Freaks article tomorrow?
O.K.. So its..

Hmm the day was quite fine... until I receive my results for my Add. Maths Revision test. Failed by 1 mark once agian. Totally unacceptable. Have to work hard for SA2 Add. Maths and E. Maths. Not gonna let history repeat itself. So yea. I'm going to take the revision test, and even if I don't do well, I'll just check for my mistakes and correct them before SA2 comes.

Went down to Westmall for lunch, rather late lunch too. Whats more it had been after tea time as well. So I was with Leonard and Hoe Xian. Had KFC for lunch, was actually thinking that, it would make me go broke. By then since they wanna eat, I have nothing to say then.

So on our way to Westmall, on our feets from the interchange, we were stop by an young man, Indian, so he was telling us he ain't asking for donations and that he is actually an ex-convict. He asked if you would give ex-convicts a second chance. Hoe Xian readily said yes. While I was rather speechless, not that I won't give them a second chance, coz I believe that every does. Just felt that it came right of a sudden. So he was asking us to buy this pen of his for $2 each. I stunned, as I had barely any income and I was going to get bang by KFC later on. However Leonard also readily said that he shall buy one. I and Hoe Xian had no choice, too not let outself look bad also bought one each.

I suppose that was to show their employees that they can still work in the society. They seriously do deserve that second chance. Shall get going. Time ain't on my side. Running and slipping through my fingers every second.

So its..

The Chorus (Les Choristes) is a 2004 French drama film directed by Christophe Barratier. Co-written by Barratier and Philippe Lopes-Curval, it is a remake of the 1945 film A Cage of Nightingales (La Cage aux Rossignols), which was adapted by Noël-Noël and René Wheeler from a story by Wheeler and Georges Chaperot.

The film explores the pain of a child's separation from his parents and the transcendence of music as the greatest form of expression.

Les Choristes - La Nuit
The Chorus - The Night

A beautiful song, sang by a beautiful choir of voices. Splendid movie and songs inside, left me a great impression.

Had just watched the song which just ended a few minutes ago. It had been a splendid movie. Winner of the César Award for Best Music Written for a Film, César Award for Best Sound, # European Film Award for Best European Composer of the Year, Austin Film Festival Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature, and many other nominations. It is a splendid movie with heart wrenching moments. I loved the songs they sang in the show. Hopefully the choir might actually get to sing it. I could recommend it to Ms Yee, enquire her to do me the favour of finding the scores.

Didn't went down for Latern Festival this year. Due to a few reasons, like homework, and not to miss Les Choristes. It would have been a mistake to go down and join them and miss the splendid show that they wouldn't know how to appreciate. Not to mention the crap I might get if I went down anyway. Dick didn't go down anyway, why should I. Had finally took up the 'courage' and started a bit of revision on Physics. Did much of the MCQ in the Ten-Years Series.

K shall just end here. The day is over and the night falls, and my mother is calling.

Some how I freakingly can't connect to my Windows Live Messenger, and I have totally no idea why. Freaking hell. Anyway the post on LHC that I just made was something which I thought was quite an interesting article. Read it any you might just understand why I say so. And if anyone have anything to tell me. SMS me, I CAN'T GO ON MSN!! DARN IT!

Anyway I have just made a new friend from Saint Andrew Primary. You guy's wouldn't know that person. So I shan't elaborate.

Have Cheena work to do, and slight revision on A.Math for tomorrow's Chapter 5-8 Test.
Shall just get going. Gambate all!!

A section of the Large Hadron Collider in its underground tunnel at CERN, near Geneva in Switzerland. Picture: AP

Patrick Horan with wires

September 10, 2008 03:13pm

The world breathed a sigh of relief as our predicted demise - at 5pm - came and went with not even a whimper, let alone a bang.

According to some, the beginning of the end was to happen at 5pm Melbourne time.

The timing wasn't based on a religious theory or some wild premonition.

What had many people worried - including some Herald Sun readers here and here - is a scientific experiment happening in an underground bunker below the Swiss Alps.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At 5pm, the switch was to be flicked on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a giant particle accelerator built by European science organisation CERN, in an effort to replicate the Big Bang.

In today's test, scientists will attempt to beam protons around a 27.3km track.

Eventually, it is hoped that two proton beams could be steered in opposite directions around the LHC at close to the speed of light, BBC reports.

Scientists want to manipulate the beams to cross paths and collide, potentially revealing fundamental insights into the nature of the cosmos.

Opponents fear the $A9.3 billion machine, which will generate temperatures of more than a trillion degrees centigrade, could create a black hole that could swallow the planet.

One theory suggested that after a series of random earthquakes, Earth would start to crack up; molten lava would wash over the land and the seas would start to boil; mega-hurricanes and cyclones would level buildings and forests; and eventually, mountains would crumble as Earth's crust continued to disintegrate.

Another theory is more simple but arguably more terrifying: Earth would be destroyed in an instant (about 1/20th of a second), simply vanishing from space. Within a few minutes, the rest of the solar system would allegedly follow.

But after commissioning a series of safety reviews, CERN scientists have scoffed at such notions, with Professor Brian Cox of Manchester University telling the British Telegraph that anyone who thinks the earth will be destroyed by the machine is a "t--t".

Eminent scientists agree, with Prof Stephen Hawking describing the LHC as "absolutely safe", telling the UK Telegraph the experiment is vital to the survival of humanity.

The LHC team hopes to find the theoretical Higgs-Boson Particle, or the God Particle, but Prof Hawking isn't confident, and has bet 100 pounds they don't find it.

The particle is thought to have given mass to all other particles and such a discovery would help gain a better understanding of things like antimatter, parallel universes and dark matter.

Your EQ is 167

Two possibilities - you've either out "Dr. Phil-ed" Dr. Phil... or you're a dirty liar.

Seriously though, your whole "Don't Worry, Be Happy" philosophy is really what defines emotional intelligence.

You're warm, open, and very optimistic. You know how to act appropriately, even if you don't feel like it.

You are a good communicator, and you have little difficulty with personal relationships - even when you're dealing with difficult people.

In general, you are successful, capable, together person. You get what you want out of life.

What's Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient)?

That is something I got from Kwang Teng's blog.
Anyway 2 test today in a row. Both kind of went well I thought. Now it is time to take some time for proper DotA and time take a breather before I get excited, or not, for the coming list of Math's test papers to come. Like the one coming straight this week on Friday. I'm going to slowly pick up the pace. It maybe a bit late, but better late than nothing ain't that right? So I shall pick up the pace to studying. I know I can do it. And so as everyone out there who is suffering the same problem as me.

A few of us namely Leonard, Zhi Ting and Me were crowding around the Teen's magazine that we got from the previous Economics Quiz, which actually dates back to last November, tells us how cheapo the organizers were. Anyway, so we were flipping and we came across Hana Montanah. And guess how Leonard pronouced it. "Ha-na-na Po-ti-ya-na!" Isn't that just great?! Zhi Ting could barely hold her laughter, but then again, she is one freak who can barely hold her laughter for anything. Joking, but its true. (LOL)

Shall just end of here. I've got DotA games to catch up with TONIGHT!

EDIT:
anyways, i saw this blog post and find it highly confusing.
jolly SHANDY is a TENYEARSOLD OR OLDER drink, and got said
that it was NEW. its just a new packaging.. whatever, idiots.
O.K firstly, yea, seems like I spelt it wrong. Secondly, I said new drink you would wanna try, did it sound like the drink is new? Coz it meant to mean, new drink you havent tried before. It could explain, that your english is actually second rated to mine. And TOO BAD!

Was trying to find the day I and Leonard came up with the word Cleristo. Or rather trying to trace back to date the origin of Cleristo in the name of its founder. To dedicate that day as Annual Cleristo Day.

But all I could trace back from the posts I made was back to the start of the change of hotmail to Cleristo-Kenjitsu@hotmail.com, and the day was rather inappropriate to name it as Annual Cleristo Day. Shan't say why. It's me and the blog's secret. SHH..

Anyway, I'll just have to name Annual Cleristo Day on a day where I truly can be recognised as one. So until that day arrives. This day shall be...void.

Until I find some thing else to post about and until I finish my necessary work, I shall take my leave for now...

I know I'm rather late for post. But anyway, here's what for today...

I hung up the phone tonight,
something happened for the first time, deep inside
It was a rush, what a rush
Cause the possibility that you would ever
Feel the same way about me
It’s just too much, just too much
Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized, and I just got to know

Do you ever think, when you’re all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I’m trying, trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain’t goin away, goin away

Has it ever crossed your mind when we were hanging
Spending time girl, are we just friends
Is there more, is there more
See it’s a chance we’ve gotta take
Cause I believe we can make this into
Something that will last, last forever, forever

Do you ever think, when you’re all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I’m trying, trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain’t goin away, goin away

Why do I keep running from the truth
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I just got to know

Do you ever think, when you’re all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it realor just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I’m trying, trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain’t goin away, goin away

If you ignore the face up on the video that was badly taken and used, and just listen to the music you should find the song quite nice. Yeap I'm gonna learn this song next. As in for my own purposes. Not really for any purposes then again. Just for my personal vocal training maybe? Some where there I suppose.

And Delta Goodrem is one good hot looking babe. And she sings quite well too and she plays the piano! That's the kind of girls I like. Oops! Anyway, the pure and innocent appearance is very appealing to me. Like I mention only a line before, she's the kind of girl I like.

I like her style music quite well. I like "Electric Storm" which is upbeat and rather cool style of presentation of the music and the lyrics are quite fine.

Trying to find a picture of her with the right kind of style, seems like the only good ones are only on the official site. Click here. Those pictures on the flash ones. They are well taken and she looks extremely charming. Anyway, I've gotta run. It is running late. My eyes are getting on me. I don't wanna get into another detention 2 days in a row.

Bleach the Movie 2 totally rocked! The subbed version came out not ago and I was lucky to catch it while its still quite fresh from the oven considering this is Singapore we are talking about.
You guys should totally check it out if you haven't. Considering you might be a Bleach fan of course. If not it would totally make no sense to you, talking in total Greek or rather Japanese. Anyway, I shall end of here, cause it really very late. Still feeling a bit high from that movie.

Its Good Day to all...

Sunday, September 07, 2008, 9:01 pm

Finally back in Singapore. Was away in Malaysia, spending much of my Weekend there. As you guys would know. I have not done much of my homework before that, had to rush them all out within the stay. However, I still have some left, they are mostly completed. For example like the Chemistry worksheet that sits on the table next to me, and the Favourite Element assignment that I have to rush out as well while I'm on my computer now. And have it printed out or something like that for tomorrow.

And most ridiculously importantly, Chinese Presentation. Apparently Angeline did it all out. Well, should I say thank you and expect her to accept it? Don't think so. Oh well, let it all come tomorrow. See how it goes tomorrow. With LCL in the house, there are only nightmares to come.

Anyway, I have a surprise on my hand that I am supposed to carry it out today. But due to time restriction, I would have to hold it back till tomorrow. This surprise would no doubt create waves of discussion and crap and not to mention gossip topic. Oh who cares, I'd just go ahead and do what I want. But for now, doing Mdm Yaw's assignments is the priority. I certainly don't wanna mess around with her. She bites, not. Let put it this way, she out talks probably even Jia Zhe in a debate with that "speed of light" of speech.

So its..

Today, I am here to present your with a video! Note its "a video" not videos. So what video have made its way to Science4Freaks today. It has something to do with Science indeed. It is the Large Hadron Rap that has became a huge place of interest world wide presently.

Bringing you.. The Large Hadron Rap done by Kate McAlpine on You Tube

CERN in 3 Minutes

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Who says science doesn't turn people on? Kate McAlpine is a rising star on YouTube for her rap performance _ about high-energy particle physics.

Her performance has drawn a half-million views so far on YouTube.

The 23-year-old Michigan State University graduate and science writer raps about the Large Hadron Collider, the groundbreaking particle accelerator that has been built in a 17-mile circular tunnel at the CERN laboratory near Geneva, Switzerland.

McAlpine raps that when the collider goes into operation on Sept. 10, "the things that it discovers will rock you in the head."

The $3.8 billion machine will collide two beams of protons moving at close to the speed of light so scientists can see what particles appear in the resulting debris.

"Rap and physics are culturally miles apart," McAlpine, a science writer at CERN, wrote to the Lansing State Journal in an e-mail last week, "and I find it amusing to try and throw them together."

Others, including physicists, also find it amusing.

"We love the rap, and the science is spot on," said CERN spokesman James Gillies.

McAlpine received permission to film herself and friends dancing in the caverns and tunnels where the experiments will take place.

"I have to confess that I was skeptical when Katie said she wanted to do this, but when I saw her previous science rapping and the lyrics, I was convinced," Gillies said. "I think you'll find pretty close to unanimity among physicists that it's great."

McAlpine honed her physics rapping skills at Michigan State's National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory, where she was part of a student research program two years ago.

Extract from Yahoo News.

Apparently there are many videos on YouTube that has negative remarks on this project that would be operating on the 10th of October. They say that it could cause a black hole or even the reason for the end of the world. There are also people who says particles are too small to kill you, however, some of us do know its not true. Especially when it comes to Anti-Matter.

The anti matter when comes in contact with a matter particle, would create an mini-explosion/reaction that gives off heat and light. It has potential to release immense amount of energy when in contact with matter, potentially enabling miniature warheads of pinhead-size to be more destructive than modern-day nuclear weapons. An antimatter particle colliding with a matter particle releases 100% of the energy contained within the particles, while a hydrogen bomb only releases about 0.7% of this energy. This gives a clue to how effective and powerful this force is.

It is a rather long post so i shall say...

Shall take 5 minutes to finish this post before the end of the day if possible.
As its 5 minutes to 04/09/08!

*Back after 5 minutes*

Darn I failed! So anyway, I found some interesting videos that might not suit some people. Just something special for BXI, my new found fellow. And something entertaining for all as long as you see it as a comedy and nothing all. I have not watch the whole video but it looks interesting. So here goes nothing...

Gotta go! Happy 04/09/08!!

Boring rainy day. Sure had been dull and boring day if ask me. The morning was not exceptionally bright for remembrance for any special occasion, neither was the dull and wet afternoon.

It's always good to know some where out there some one has the same thoughts on a certain interest. Just like how I found Bin Xi whom suggested God's Delusion by Richard Dawkins. Richard Dawkins has been one of the few who known in the society today as an Atheist to the Theist. And most probably prefered to be known as an Anti-Theist. Shall skip the 'cult' explanation.

Jolly Shandy

Had just went down to Lot 1 with my mother to take a walk in the afternoon. If there is any new drink you would like to try out. Jolly Sandy is my recommendation. It contains alchohol of not more than 0.5%. With lemon flavouring, it goes quite well with the alcohol content. The alcohol content would allow you to taste roughly how normal beer taste like. Not very high alcohol content and give you exceptionally close taste and feeling to that of a normal beer, it indeed is a must try.

So do check it out when you get down to NTUC FairPrice outlets or any other shops. For NTUC outlets, it would be catergories under 'Beer and Wine', but fear not in shame that you would be caught purchasing it, as there is nothing wrong with tasting alcohol drink of that low alcohol content. At most get your parents to accompany you, best to have them to join in the fun.

News in town, I have not done any serious mugging or studying for the pass 5 Days of Holidays. Well I just can't get into the mood with out any supervision, discipline falls at home. Anyway, I'll just try to at most take up a text book or two to get me into the mood and read it like some storybook. History and Social Studies would be most fitting.

So I guess its time to say,

Ja-na!~

Well, I have just came back from Dick's house. Was at his house yesterday night, not alone, but with Eddie and Dylan. The gang! So what happen was we played Heroes V. Rather boring if you ask me, I'd prefer much much more to DotA-ing. So I was stuck there with the gay Dick and the rest. Played the game till around 12am, where his mother came back from work. Got us Bee Hoon and fish ball soup for supper, yummy...

So after that we return to his room and chatted till around 2am. Was crapping about Eddie and Dylan's crush and stuffs. That reminds me that I had memories Eddie's crush MSN to disturb her. Anyway I might not do it, coz I find it rather boring. Rather chat with friends I know and play DotA than to disturb someone whom I have no idea of. Dylan's phone is like always ringing from his recieved messages. Messages from his crush just keeps on coming in. Darn frustrating, it kept going, "Konichiwa. Konichiwa. Ko-Ni-Chi-Wa!" Eddie was like going crazy and said we would burn his phone if he hears that again. Well in the end it still came but he didn't burn it.

It is nice to chat around till the night, however I isolated from them. Didn't talk much, most of the time I was listening. Full of fun and laughter through the night. We also spent time singing karaoke, which was I thought, done at the wrong time of the day. It was around 10pm and we sang all the way till 12pm. His neighbours had been very kind and understanding for having such a crazy guy like Dick as their neighbours. It had been his idea, I am innocent. I merely join in the fun.

Then this morning, we had actually planned to go down to Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex for swimming. However the plan was canceled due to the rain. I can stay long with them as there is choir practice later. So we would have to find another day for that. Speaking of which, I have not emptied my bag of the swimming necessities, to be filled up with what I would need for choir later.

Shall take my leave off posting as I have Hot Shot episode 6 to catch.

Ja-na~

woo.. Haven't been posting for quite a while. Didn't have any ideas to post you see. With my mind time all filled up with DotA games. Anyway I am going to start studying as much as I can. Do a little bit of this and a little bit of that too. Hopefully I would not waste my time playing DotA all day long as long as I can restrict myself.

Which might be kind of a problem as apparently my sister has gone out. Some one to take over my time on the computer would be gone. And Dylan is apparently coming over to Dick's house. That mean I and Eddie would have to go down as well. Time is flying pass me with all this events.

Had went down to Dick's house with Eddie yesterday. Played, once again, Heroes V. Rather much boring than fun if you ask me. Wonder why do the rest like it so much.
