ESCAPISM
Sudden realisation + inability to study anymore and hanging around on the net looking at Facebook had made me realise that playing Facebook and blogging is pretty much a form of escapism too, personally in particular.

I don't really read a lot, with only occasional reading up on NewScientist.com when there is something interesting, check it up daily. So reading isn't really an escapism for me.

Another one of my favourite source of escapism is listening to music. It works practically for everyone I guess. Just wanting to listen to the favourite songs running through your ears and not doing anything else. Wonderful form of escapism I feel. For me this beats practically anything like reading.

However, once in awhile I guess we still gotta come back to earth and do what is needed of us. There is always a time that we should come back to reality as a student and that studying is what we should be doing right now (and not reading my blog =X). Though, I would still prefer to take a break now and then, so do hang around my blog once in awhile? =D

Just another post of escapism.

With music,
ja-na~

In this post, the contents shall be split into 4 sections.

Tick-Tock
Have started wearing a watch lately. Don't ask me why, cause I pretty much just feel like doing so. It is a watch that was worn by my father. Not a heirloom, just something he got while he was doing National Service many years back then. I just thought since he doesn't wear it anymore, I might as well do.

Anyway, my main point is that the watch have some certain effects on me. When ever there is pin-drop silence or when I'm calm and thinking. Moving the watch slightly closer to my face would result in me hearing the time going by. It sort of 'hurts' to see time go by and figuring out that there is little time to do this and that. As I listen, I feel as if time is speeding and getting faster after each strike, it just goes on faster and faster to me "tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock.."

Having said that it really does reminds me once in awhile how near the O levels are already. Not just that of course, when ever I have some kind of dateline to meet, hearing the ticking sound makes me feel sort of unease and most importantly irritated.

School Reopening
School has reopened and so far everything has been fine. Would take sometime to adjust to the extra class that are held after normal school lessons. Over due homework to meet adds on just as much. Luckily I don't really have many of them though.

I'm pretty much looking forward to a better semester this half year with most misunderstandings cleared and all that. I am sort of doing my best to change after recieving some comments before school resume and what I am doing best at the moment is shutting my ears from unwanted comments. That's one skill mastered!

It feels much better to return to school I guess. Even though there are a lot of work to do, but as a student, school kinda still suits me better after all. Mopping around at home isn't something I would consider great. Kinda boring and all that. There are just so much more things that can be done in school too.

CHEMISTRY, A NIGHTMARE
I'm still confused over Acids, Bases and Salts and although MANY people are telling to go around the problem, I just can't accept it. I guess I just have to find some time to see Mdm Yaw and clear all my doubts. This has practically became an obstacle from me thinking properly and doing well for Chemistry. Not to mention I failed in the last Acid, Bases and Salts test. Just so darn frustrated since no one seems to be able to provide me with an answer thus far.

You would most probably be wondering what could be getting to me so greatly. This is what it is all about:

To test for Sulfate ion we use acidified Barium Nitrate. Add the acidified Barium Nitrate to the unknown solution and look out for white precipitation. If white precipitation is seen, sulfate ion is present. As we know, this white precipitate is actually the formation of Barium Sulfate.

Using this knowledge, we use the same reagents to test for sulfuric acid. There are sulfate ions in sulfuric acid, as such by adding acidified Barium Nitrate we should get the white precipitate, Barium Sulfate. But there shouldn't be any reaction between an acid with a nitrate!

What's more this is what I saw from my tb. This makes me terribly confused.

So my questions are:
  1. Can an acid react with a nitrate? If no, why?
  2. What is the role of the nitric acid in acidifying the Barium Nitrate before adding it into the unknown solution?
Care to explain?

STUBBORN PIG
So as you can see, I'm pretty much a stubborn person who would never allow myself to choose an easy way out of something like that. People have told me that I just have to accept how things are. However, I won't allow myself to just memo it and accept it without understanding how it came to be. I am more of a WHY person more than WHAT. In other terms, I'm a logical learner who refuse to accept anything I learn without knowing how and what I am actually doing and applying.

This was the same case as when I couldn't remember the Reactivity Series for the same subject. I was lucky though as I had Clara who came up or was taught of a certain method of remembering it. Even though I still have yet to find out the proper way of determining and arranging the elements of the Periodic Table according to their reactivity, I at least managed to found myself a method to remember it with the least effort. One way to put it is that I'm stubborn, the other would maybe be lazy. That's pretty much the main difference between Physics and Chemistry once again.

Meeting up with Mdm Yaw would include clearing up this unresolved question on how the elements in the metals (in actual fact, the transition metals) are arranged in the Reactivity Series, the above and finding out about a certain question I have on Metals.

REMOVED.
IF THIS REALLY DISTURBS YOU THAT MUCH...

=.=

I must get going already, have lots of work to do. My frequency of post would most probably be declining due to more effort that I am going to put in into this final few laps of the race to the big 'O's like Sharon puts it.

ja-na!

ALL A MISUNDERSTANDING...
I FEEL SO EMBARRASSED!!

AJC DSA AUDITION.
Left home bright early in the morning and headed down to BB MRT Station to meet up with Leonard to get my Travel Declaration Form from him. While I was waiting for Leonard inside the gates, I suddenly saw some one very familiar walking in. I saw Angela. Pretty shocking. She at first wanted to walk off first but then suddenly turn and smile in a very spastic way, "I go with you".

Was a bit over shocked but as a gentlemen I can't possibly refuse. Leonard reached no time after that and was just as shocked when he saw Angela behind me. He gave me the "HUH?" look. So darn funny. I couldn't give him a verbal answer though.

We took the train all the way down to Yio Chu Kang and had thought we were going to be reaching the school by 0930. In the end, I led the wrong way out of the MRT Station and ended up waiting for bus 45. Could have chose to walk back but Angela preferred to wait for the bus since we were already at the bus stop. This caused me some problems later on when I return back home.

So we managed to still reach there on time and had some time before we had to enter the room. Angela did her registration at the General Office while I ran a bit as I was finding some where to clean myself up. Had a bit of difficulty locating the toilet even after I was given directions. On the way to find the male's toilet I pass by a like 6 Chemistry Labs. That totally reminded me of Clara. I still can't find an exact reason to why I think of Clara as a Chemistry freak since she isn't really one. Anyway, so I managed to locate the toilet and washed my face. Had no idea what warm ups to do so I thought I might as well wait for Angela.

So after finishing the registrations, we went to a staircase near the choir room, when we were going to start warming up, I got a unknown number call. Turns out that I am supposedly the next to enter already. I have yet to properly warm-up too. Luckily all the running sort of worked up fine in warming up my vocals. So the audition wasn't very bad.

Mr Nelson Kwei was very kind and wore a mega watt smile as I entered. I was kinda worried when I enter because I had to take off my shoes and my socks are like so darn tattered. So darn worried that they would catch that, hope they didn't. Then did some scales down and then up. It was a rather swift one, which resulted in me having the thought that I can't possibly have interest him since it was just so short. I hadn't even got to use my forceto if I'm not mistaken. Which could be bad since Roy did reminded me to sing forceto at around the F note.

Oh well, my mind kinda running through everything after I came out of the room. I sort of convinced myself that I did well and that what's done is done. I can't possibly return back to time to get it done again. So it is all up to the commitee and Mr Nelson Kwei to decide if I am fit to be in his choir or not.

I told Angela what I roughly did in the room and Angela followed suite to sing to it. Didn't help much as it sounded kind of flat. Which also reminded me that I sounded sort of airy in the higher notes, which is bad.

Soon it was Angela's turn. It wasn't very long either, took around 5 minutes too. It ended so much faster than we had expected it to be. After that we walked our way to Yio Chu Kang Station.

The seniors were pretty nice as they kept on asking me how was it. I'm hoping that is a tip that they could hear me and I sounded alright. Well, that is just my guess and an attempt to make me feel better. Hopefully I did do well and join them. They do look like a bunch of interesting people. I'm sure they don't mind another joker in the choir.

I had trouble returning home as I had only 88cents in the card. The minimum amount you have to have in the card to take a MRT trip is I believe $1. I had only $4.60 with me and Angela has only 20cents with her. I had to ask for 40cents from a lady, or as Angela had put it, "beg for money". So I managed to top up my card and get home. I wouldn't have got myself a one way trip since it is so much more expensive.

AFTER THAT. . .
I had lunch and some rest before I met up with Jordan, Jun Jia and Jin Shun at the Lot 1 library. We plan to study and of course, it didn't really work up fine. Chat most of the time. After awhile at around 1800, we went down to get some food to eat. The 3 of them had Long John Silver while I had Fei Siong Bee Hoon with Curry Vegetables. Very contrasting indeed.

So that's pretty much how I spent the whole day, and saw some one I least expected to see and would have preferred not to see.

Lies, lies, and more lies....

BIG DAY IN ABOUT 14 HOURS.

Yeap, tomorrow's my big day! Can't wait for it. Sad news is that I'm left alone to go for it. Thinking of which, KT didn't have company when she went for hers at NJC. I have to meet Leonard so that I can get the Form 3 that I've requested him to help me print out, in the morning at Bukit Batok MRT Station before I head for AJC. Tight schedule, gotta work out the timings right if not I might just be late for it. That definitely aint gonna be nice.

I'm done with most of my homework, and revision is on the way. I'm sort of regretting the fact that I didn't start doing this earlier. Oh well, all is not lost.

THINKING . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

*BANG*

Alright. I have nothing in mind to post about, but I'm pretty sure I should have quite a lot of things to talk about after I'm done with my audition. So I'm just gonna end of here.

Ja-na!~

PS: Deleted Twitter account due to many reasons. One of which is I have insufficient time to manage it, and not many I know is playing it. Shall just stick to FB. Anyway, deleting it ain't no big news since probably no one even knows about it.

In this post, topics/contents would be divided into 3 portion: To explain my stand better to every one out there who have same sentiments as 'xoxo' (whoever he/she is), this portion of my post would further support my stand with clearer explanations.

We could easily have those people who have come back from other countries to be quarantine. Further more, schools can carry out daily temperature checks to ensure students are cleared of H1N1. The government is able to trace the cases of H1N1 outbreaks and prevent it from spreading. Being responsible citizens, it is our responsibility to take care of our health and if symptoms of H1N1 arises, we should take the necessary precautions and visit a doctor.

If everyone is responsible, why would there be a need to close schools. Of course, one can argue that we S'poreans are mostly irresponsible, as seen from the repeated cases of people returning from infected countries running around in public even though symptoms have been showed.

So should we be seen as a group of irresponsible citizens or should we do and act like a responsible citizen of our motherly nation? Why do have to depend on the government to plan out such a major operation to close all schools just to prevent the spread when the citizens health is our own responsibility.

Do we as S'poreans really need that kind of treatment.

To end my case, we should all be responsible and not be overly reliant of our government. By reopening schools as scheduled, the nation would also not be thrown into chaos. Let me ask you, even if schools are closed, would everyone stay in their homes and not go out in public? Unless this is possible, closing of schools, to me, seems so insignificant and meaningless to be carried out. It all once again, boils down to each and everyone responsibility.

Refering to 'xoxo', Japan's government did not take appropriate measures to counter the increasing number of infections, there were major flaws in it's guidelines.

Under the revised guidelines, the government basically allows every medical institution in the country to see new-flu patients and for people with mild symptoms to recuperate at home.

The government will also stop counting all individual infections and focus instead more on early detection of group infections.

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2009-06/19/content_11567604.htm

So but of course its situation would not be kept under controlled. But if S'pore was to learn from their experiences, we can easily turn the situation in our favour.

CIP DUTY at CCK NLB.
Doing it with Derrick had made things a lot more interesting and fun. Did roving again but Derrick's company made it a lot different and relaxing. We chat while doing roving, whispering of course. We practically talked about everything and anything we could come up with. I did the job a lot more better in such an environment too. Derrick and I were pushing the duty on whom should inform those offenders, end up I did most of it.

After an hour or so I did E-Kiosk duty, rendering help to anyone who might need it. It was this group of girls. around my age, who was using the E-Kiosk. They couldn't figure it out why they couldn't finish the transaction with their EZ-Link card. Then after which only did I came over and saw did I know what was actually happening. They didn't read the announcement on the paper staring right in front of them that the new EZ-Link cards does not work at the E-Kiosk. It's no surprise now that why S'poreans are known to have a poor reading culture when they don't even read a short notice that was staring right in front of them, even though there was pictures on it too.

I had quite a lot of fun doing CIP with Derrick and now I'm down with 1 more hour of CIP to do to complete my 8 hours of CIP to be done this year. Might just drop down at Bukit Timah library to do CIP with Derrick, Zhi Ting, KT and Leonard this Thursday.

House Visit at LCL's
It was an interesting visit and we actually encountered quite a lot of problems while trying to get the laptop started up. We couldn't even start the windows in the beginning as the system seems to disallow us to type in the password. No either why. However, at the end of it all when we were done, we couldn't see any problem with the laptop, and we could type in the password. Hopefully it doesn't go faulty again, only then Derrick wouldn't be called up by LCL again.

There was something wrong with wireless connection too. In the end, we chose to connect the laptop to the modem via ethernet cable instead. Saved the time from trying to get over the problem with the wireless connection. It just didn't seem to work out right you see, so might as well bypass it if it was worth it. LCL would have to call up the Service Provider (Singtel) to cancel off the wireless plan to a normal one. She is paying $4 extra each month for the wireless modem and now that she ain't using wireless, might as well change it to a normal one. Hopefully it works out right for her.

She made us pomelo drink that she said she bought it from Korea I think. It was pretty much just that there were atachi in it. I don't like atachi at all, had always hate it, so in the end I gave Derrick all of them.

Below are two videos that Der and I took while we were eating at LJS after we have done our CIP duties at CCK NLB and before heading for LCL's condo.

NONSENSE.

I'm posting again after only just published a post in like the last 10 minutes as I have just recieved news from Eddie that CNA (Channel News Asia) have put up a poll on whether school should resume as per normal after the school holidays.

H1N1 cases could rise further as students return to schools after holidaying in flu-hit countries. How should schools cope?

I hope all of us reading this post would think that the 3rd option is the best for all, especially since most of us here are taking our O levels. How can lessons be conducted via Internet be as beneficial as going back to school and listenning to our teachers teach.

Not surprising, presently 86% of the votes went for option 1, extended holidays, with a number of 2369 votes. 9% goes for 'Conduct lessons via Internet' with a number of 258 votes. The remaining votes of 136 goes for 'Students return to schools as scheduled' which is 5% of the total votes. This shows how immature the students in S'pore are.

I'm not just saying as a O Level Student, taking his paper this year end. but as a normal student. I believe that students should recognise how fortunate they are in S'pore as we had a month of holidays, students in M'sia only have 2 weeks. Students should be appreciating and grabbing every opportunity to study and not choose for such a form of escapism to extend the holidays.

DISAPPOINTMENT

I hope everyone's not just focusing on my new skin but did read my exclusive Apologies and Thanks issue. That should have been the main focus of all this blog for as long as it is up here.

Anyway, I'm just here to share my disappointment in the cancellation of the choir camp this Wednesday. It has been canceled due to the increase in Type A (H1N1) virus cases in Singapore. Not to mention the fact that MOE is considering closing all schools island wide for another week (an extension of the school holidays) before resuming schools from this June school holidays that is just about to end. I was so looking forward to the choir camp that I had asked the seniors that I know of to come back to see my batch step down. Now all this would have to come to a halt.

The sec3s involve in the planning of this camp had put in a lot of effort, for them this would nevertheless be a major blow. All their hard work has momentarily come to waste.

I do hope that they would still go on with the DSA Auditions. Having said that it did reminded me that I'm going to miss my chance of doing a trial with Ms Yee in the BBSS Music Centre for my DSA Audition at AJC this coming Friday. I really hope the extremely short session with Roy helps. I'm worried that I might not make it through now. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and believe that I would not forget the techniques that I had been taught the past 3 and 1/2 years and would make it safely through the auditions.

Wish me good luck and keep your fingers crossed to for me. That would be the best form of support for me right now.

Having done away with the choir camp, it also provided me with more time allocated to study and prepare myself to do the November 2001 Chemistry O Level Paper. I have planned to do the paper next weekend, either Saturday or Sunday. So I'm gonna have 4 days to study for it and for the upcoming Chemistry test that would be carried out should the school resume as per normal on the 29th June. Truth to be told, I have no idea yet of what is supposed to be tested when school resumes. Should some one see this, please drop me a tag or leave a message to inform me of the topic tested. Thanks.

That would be all for this post.
ja-na and Happy Father's Day to all Fathers and Fathers-to-be!

FLUSH, GOES PINK. - New Skin

Haven't been updating the past 3 days. So as you can see, a new skin is up. I just felt pink these days, like what I told Clara. Decided that I might as well do a pink skin for myself while waiting for the big surprise skin that is under construction. The new skin is in the hands of Cheeryl (my senior for those who don't know her). She is was very artistic and great in her drawing. Seems to have lost her touch from all the work she is thrown into in her Poly life lately.

So I just mainly edited the skin this present skin was supposed to be. I changed the font colours, opened up another column for my tag board and links as I figured out that my links are way damn long. If you would like to see the comparison, you could check out Clara's blog, it was that skin before I did any editing. I moved bits from my old blog like the 'poem' that you should see if you are on IE at the bottom left of your window.

What's my new skin's gonna look like you ask? I can only show you the draft that Cheeryl sent me. It's a very rough draft since I haven't had my touch on it. Here's the background that I required her help in, hand drawn mind you.

Of course the theme of this coming new skin is based on my official theme for SCIENCE4FREAKS. That should explain why this title of the skin I'm presently using is not SCIENCE4FREAKS. You should see the familiar Greek/Latin words on the background, like Qua Verum Est, if you had been a very loyal reader of mine. If not you wouldn't be able to identify the words used and their meaning. But you should be able to guess the meaning for the words on top of the 3 closed doors.

How about this, the first person who comes up with the correct explaination/definition of the 3 words on top of the 3 closed door gets a prize from me? So, may the best intellect wins!

AJC TRIP + RICE DUMPLING TRIP.

Wednesday
Woke up at around 9 to get ready go to school and get the Edusave form for the rice dumpling trip with LCL today. Met up with Clara in school to request some help from her with regards to my application form that is going to be submitted later on. She had agreed to come along at first but because she felt guilty after going out for 2 days straight, she had to withdraw from it. Lucky I had Leo to join me to AJ for the submission of my DSA application form.

The security in schools island wide is rather tight. You have to leave your particulars, reason for entering, area of school entering before you step into school. So after I was done with Clara, I met up with Leonard at BB MRT station. Thought that all was going fine, but it suddenly strucked me that I had sent Leonard an incomplete Personal Statement. Apparently I might have over edited my Personal Statement and sent both Clara and Leonard an incomplete one. Leonard and I rushed all the way back to my house to get it edited. So darn sorry having Leonard to run around with me.

After editing, we also had another problem - we needed to find a printer that could work. Mine doesn't work and after much searching, I ended up paying $1 to print my Personal Statement at the photo printing shop at Lot 1 basement. So darn expensive, but had no choice, most importantly was getting it printed in time.

We managed to find our way to AJC even though we had some problems along the way. Either I had mistook what Clara had said or Clara had given me the wrong information, I alighted at Ang Mo Kio Station. It turns out that it is much further and I would need to take a bus to AJC if I alight here. It was so much closer that it was shocking for Leonard and I when we saw how close the school building was to Yio Chu Kang Station.

I had some problems when I reached the General office too. Other than the security, it turns out that my applications has some blanks in it. Had not checked it thoroughly enough I guess. The man serving me at the general office had to point out to me areas to fill in here and there. So darn embarrassed, how I wished I could just find a hole to stick my head into from the shame. I had thought I only needed to submit it, turned out I had to wait for a receipt for the submission to remind me of the actual audition.

It is gonna be held on the 26th at 10am. This time round, Clara's gonna have to come support me oh alright. I don't mind a few more busybodies you know, so if interested do approach or leave a tag. So for now at least I have Clara and Leo to accompany me for the audition next Friday. Gonna have to find time to practice the song, will have to take good care of my voice until then, especially during the camp, can't afford to sleep too late on Wednesday night.

The school logo also reminded me of my Primary school.
This is why:

If you can see SVPS school logo, you would notice the similarities. The colours used are , the shape is similar - that of a gem.

Thursday
Woke up around the same time I did yesterday and reached school just on time. I was worried that I was going to be late so the moment I got onto bus 188, I messaged An Hua that I might be late for a few minutes.

The bus driver uncle had some difficulty finding his way to the restaurant, had sort of an argument with Ms Lee before we even set off. We were supposed to reach there at 1030 and in the end we only reached there at 1130. We ended up eating for lunch first before we tour the place. Nothing much to see around though.

The meal was rather simple, nothing explicitly delicious or special. Then the tour was also rather plain. Just look around and see the way of embroidery of the Peranakans and their way of making rice dumplings.

At the end of the tour, I bought some cakes/snacks home for my mother who had already requested I do so in the morning. LCL also bought us a rice dumpling each at the end of it all. Nothing special about the dumpling either, edible but common.

Will post up the pictures taken when the rest puts it up.

That's pretty much all for today's update.

The Apologies and Thanks - Exclusive Issue

So I have returned from Malaysia. Been there for my sort of annual durian season feast - durian feast! It was cool, although the quality is slightly different through the years already. That totally reminded me of Mutation that we just learnt from Biology lessons, the phenotype and genotype things. Yea anyway, the durians are less sour now which taste better in mine and my mother's opinion. My father thought the sweeter version now suits him better, he prefers to eat it sweet.

We brought back a few boxes of them packed in poly(ethene) boxes (Chemistry). which means around 6-7 durians worth of durian meat in total.

We managed to got pass all the checks and brought them safely back to home. They are now stored in the fridge, just the way we love it, frozen. I tried to bring back more chewing gums too, but due to my father's resistance, I have no choice but to only bring back 2 packs. Mind you, there are booked already.

So it's time for the official post.

The Apologies and Thanks

Thank you Adinda, for your occasional humorous remarks. You have been a great classmate in class.

Thank you Aloisius, for giving me the chance to be a friend of yours once again. I will cherish it dearly. I'm sorry for being noisy all the time, but I thought you really knew and understood that I really cared and that's why I talk this much. Still, I will try to lessen the burden on your ears.

Thank you Leon, for your honest remark then. Thanks for sticking around with me, you made me feel wanted and still part of the class even though there was a group of people that had already ostracised me from the class. Your witty remarks and 'cool' look would be remembered.

Sorry Angeline, for I have been quite the jerk thus far. We might have misunderstandings, but I have truly forgotten them all. It has always been my motto that if I forgot what caused the misunderstandings, then there should not be any unhappiness between us two. Hopeful that we might be better classmates.

Sorry Yi Jun, for being at odds with you at times. I must confess that your character and ideas does differ greatly from mine at times, thus causing the unhappiness that builds up. I really don't have anything against you, just some miscommunication in our ideas that seems to be at poles. I'll be more understanding, and hope you would do the same. Thank you for standing up for me on occasions, and putting up with my ranting and unhappiness towards you at times.

Sorry Chanel, for the great unhappiness that we shared throughout the two years. There really have been to many misunderstandings between us that resulted in the 'tragedy' today. I hope you still have that conscious in you to not try to murder me, and I promise I won't try to kidnap and chop off your fingers. I hope that you could open up and change your opinion on me. It takes a lot of energy to hate some one, I'm sure you would have noticed that already. So why not try to accept my apology and start viewing me from a different angle?

Thank you Derrick, for being such a great friend thus far. Your 'teachings' have benefited me for I have managed to learn up something that I might never chance upon if I had never met you. Thank you for putting up at my insolence at times. Sorry for being such a jerk and ass at times, I'm sure we will become even better friends in the future.

Sorry Kel Lee, for being so noisy for you to bear at times. I might comment on your acts at times, but it is just my way of hoping that you do well. I confess that I don't like to see you and your group do all the naughty stuffs in class, and that's why I might make some comments on your actions. But I truly hoped you would do better not just in your studies but in other areas too. Thank you for not walloping me up yet, for either I truly don't deserve it or you just don't want to dirty your hands. BTW: I had meant 'explosive' in a way that you are very much cheerful and not shy to be yourself.

Thank Vin Nee, for being walloping or getting your sister to gang up and wallop me at my remarks at times, that would have agitated you girls. Sorry that I have been so noisy but I am hopeful that you would open up to understand me better.

Thank you WanXuan, for being a great classmate and friend. You have made my chinese lessons less boring and group discussion much more enjoyable even though Derrick and HoeXian are not very participative.

Thank you CLARA! There is just so many things I would like to thank you for. Ultimately, thank you for being such a great friend. I should remember you for a very very very long time, for as long as my memory can keep up with. Thank you for standing up for me and helping me out whenever I needed assistance from you, you have been very helpful. Thanks for practically everything.

Thank you Sharon, for being the class chairperson and a great choir chairperson. Sorry if I had been too wild during choir and all that. Deep down I know you appreciate me for bringing laughter into choir, I just know it! You have done very well in your duties. Sorry for all the problems I have caused and hopeful that all that has past is history and that we would become good friends in the future.

Sorry Ji A, for my occasional unfriendly remarks. I understand that you might not want to share and participate at times, and that I had been selfish to force you to participate. I just hoped that everyone would be participative and believed that it should benefit you in return to. Hopeful that you would open up yourself and not hide behind in class anymore. Thank you for not expressing your unhappiness towards me, that you most probably hid away.

Sorry Akshaya, for my rather unfriendly and sarcarstic remarks lately. I don't mean any harm and hope that you would forgive me. Hopeful that we would be great classmates in future.

Thank you Junyan, for your occasional sarcarstic remarks. They aren't hurtful at all though. It has been fun getting to know you better thus far, for I have never got to know you better in the last year. However, it is a start to a friendship now that we know we share a common interest - DotA. Sorry if there had been unhappiness between us too.

Thank you Li Ying, you have been a great classmate. You have been very understanding. I do believe we will be great friends in future.

Thank you LEONARD! for sticking around with an ass like me this past 3 and 1/2 years. I know there were moments you just wish you could stab me in the heart. Sorry that I have not been very considerate towards you. To think I call you a best friend of mine, when I couldn't even interest you and keep you with me. I probably wasn't the greatest friend you ever known, coz if I had you wouldn't have grown further from me. I really hope that we would become greater friends. Sorry for pushing you so hard at times, I really do wish to see you do well. I really do need a friend like you.

Thank you An Hua for being such a great unofficial Chinese Representative. Your witty remarks never fails to brighten up my day. You have been very kind and very tolerant to me too. Thank you and sorry for making your work hard at times especially with LCL. I hope we would become even closer friends in the future, I believe we are very similar in terms of character too.

Sorry Yan Jie for the occasional unhappiness and insensitive remarks. I truly hope to seek your forgiveness and hope we would be great classmates. Thank you for putting up with my noise when you are trying to concentrate on doing your work, and sorry for the noise I make.

Thank you Syuhadah for being such a humorous and lively classmate. It has been great to know you. You are indeed the "Drama ma-ma" or whatever they call you. Sorry for all the inconvenience I might have caused in the past year and hoped that you would forgive me.

Thank you HONG ZHANG! I have always known and believed that you are a great man. I trusted Jacelyn's judgement that you are just playful at times and that you never meant any harm. Sorry for being even noisier than you, causing you great unhappiness at times. I never meant any harm too. I am very thankful of you for you were the first one in your clique to accept me all over again. I hope we would become great friends in the future. Thank you for putting up with my disturbing noise and actions in class too, I just can't seem to be as funny as you are I guess.

Thank you Li Yan for being a great classmate. You have been very nice. I really thank you for the kindness you have shown towards me. I hope that I have not caused you any inconvenience thus far.

Thank you QIN LI! I have always regarded you as a friend. You have put up with my nonsense and times. I know I have been noisy and stuff, I do hope we would be great friends together. Sorry for all the inconvenience I have brought you. Thank you.

Thank you PHUA ZHITING! You have been an exceptional friend throughout the 1 and 1/2 years in class together. You have been very kind and encouraging. You have been speaking up for me even when almost everyone is at odds against me. You kind words and care that you have shown will be remembered for a very long time. I hope we would become very good friends in furture. Thank you for all the care and kindess you have shown towards me.

Thank you Roy for all the help you have given me. I know I might have been hurtful and insensitive at times. Trust me, I never meant any harm. I know you will understand me as times goes on. We should become great friends unless anything unexpeceted occurs. Sorry for putting up all the nonsense and noise that I made, you have been very tolerant.

Sorry Kellie, for making you have all the bad impression on me. If I had done anything bad that caused you to think that way of me, my greatest apology. I really hope we could become great friends. Thank you for putting up with me at times and your occasional enlightening remarks. You have been kind towards me, for I am pretty sure with your temper and bad impression of me, you would have most probably murdered me already.

Thank you Shreya for putting up with my occasional nonsense. I'm sorry that we didn't end up as a group of united lamers we had thought we would become in the very beginning. I must have done something wrong to cause your impression of me to change. I hope we would become better friends in the future. Sorry and thank you for everything else that I should have named.

Thank you Fiona. You have been kind to me. I do believe there were times that I might have made you mad or otherwise, thanks for putting up with me even so.

Thank you Jia Zhe, for your witty remarks. I know I must have been sticking out like a sore time for you at times. My apologies and hope that you would forgive me for whatever crime that I made that deserve a 'death sentence' or otherwise.

Sorry Kwang Teng. I know you have been putting up with me for quite awhile. I want to apologise for the misunderstanding that time. I truly didn't meant to insult you in anyway. Hope that you could understand and forgive me. I hope you do remember the promise we made about 2 years ago. I'm sorry if I did deserve to be murdered by you for my 'crimes'.

Thank you Ruth. Believe it or not, I want to thank you for your concern shown towards my language development. Because of your witty and sarcarstic remarks, I have grown to learn and be even more tolerant towards such comments. I'm sorry if you really felt that I had insulted the sacred language. I would never have the drive to become better in my academics if you had not appeared in my life and I would never have thought of challenging myself to become the best in school like you. I hope I am worthy of your challenge. If you beg to differ, I could only produce results to back my words up. Actions are after all louder than words.

Thank you Shao Lun for your occasional witty remarks. It has been a joy to know you. I hope we would become closer friends in future. I'm sorry had I been a nuisance in anyway to you. Hope that you would forgive me for my actions.

Sorry Hoe Xian for being such a jerk during a period of time towards you. I confess that I truly didn't like you as I just couldn't stand your character and being so laid off. I really do hope you could be more focused in your work and not go around flirting unnecessary. It really does bugs me quite a lot. Thank you for making peace with me already, I hope that we would become better friends in future.

Thank you Jiamin for being rather tolerant towards me already. I still remembered what you said in class on my birthday. "Give him a break la, it's his birthday after all" or something like that. I'm sorry for making you detest me in such a way and hope that you would forgive me for my actions. I will make an effort to make myself less detestable in future.

Thank you Sang Soo for reaccepting me once again. I know we had a lot of unhappiness in the past year. I apologise for the actions that made you detest me so greatly. Whatever that had caused you to be unhappy towards me have most probably been forgotten. It takes a toll to hate some one, so I hope you would no longer have to force yourself to hate me anymore. May we become better classmates or even good friends.

CRYING SESSION.

Practically everybody broke down into tears in that final session of workshop with Jeff. Not because it has come to an end, but because of what he did with us - the self hypnosis session.

In details to he did, he made us visualise all the bad things that could ever happen to us. Being just as emotional as some guys and most guys, I cried pretty badly. I didn't even had to courage to walk towards the door to the toilet to wash up as I look just damn bad in tears. Totally disgust with all the mucus and tears you could possibly imagine.

So I waited until I believe every one has returned from the toilet only did I stood up and walk with care, as I was feeling abit weightless and all that, towards the toilet to wash up. It just have to be so much of an coincidence that Wei Ting have to come into the toilet to see me wash up my face after crying. I can imagine him thinking, "What on earth just happened?!" Pretty embarrassing I thought.

So luckily I have enough strength in me to walk to the bus stop after all that crying. Base on my 16 years of experience, I usually fall asleep after all that crying. Most probably what I had in mind kept me awake. I didn't wanna fall asleep as there was just too many work to be done after I reach home. Bad timing to for Jeff to pull that off just when we had so many load on our hands.

It was truly a workshop worth going, I would give it 2 thumbs up. Well, I guess mostly because of how fortunate my class was to get Jeff as our trainer/instructor. He is an excellent speaker who just seem to crack jokes then and there.

That's pretty much what I have for today.
ja-na!

I will keep to my promise - I'm stronger than you could ever believed me to be.

Rampaged DotA on Friday night with Derrick, Darren (Der's bro), Jun Yan and Aloi. Pretty awesome night playing with them. Especially the two game I was with Aloi, darn fun and interesting.

No matter how much I try to suppress my urge to comment on SOMEONE's acts, I can't hold them anymore. I'm gonna leak abit of my unhappiness here.

*REMOVED*

That was like practically everything that happened, which at the start I wanted to 'share' only a bit. I just can't stomach that anger I guess.

Did Clara ANOTHER favour by helping her to pick a new skin as her template was all messed up and impossible to recover. Apparently, Sharon and Melina, here loyal readers, thought it was nice. Glad to hear that I made the right choice. Had the intention of changing the font colour to pink just to agitate her.

Yesterday's CIP Session was a disaster too. Did roving. I had practically no idea nor experience on how it was supposed to be done in the beginning. Then after finding out from the librarian, I'm supposed to be some sort of 'police' or rather 'library guardian', walk around and catch people who disobey rules and see if anyone needs help here and there. Darn boring and pretty lame.

The only benefit I could think of is that I get to look out for pretty girls and interesting books. I had to sneak around and seat after 45min or so as I have no idea if I am allowed to. So I ended up leaving an hour early, tried to forcefully put up a smile to the librarian to look like I had enjoyed it. Well, obviously I didn't. So if anyone's interested in doing it, either you do with a group of friends (like myself), or you die doing it alone.

That's all for today, can't wait for tomorrow's Resillience Workshop!

FUN!!

Had quite alot of fun the past 2 days and thus I am here to share my joy.

Thursday!
We had a long day as we had to attend this Resilience Workshop held by Adam Khoo's Company. I totally didn't expect to see Jeff again! If you could recall (that is if you are a very loyal reader to this blog since the beginning), Jeff was the instructor or rather King Jeff around 2 years back when I had the Leadership Cluster Camp.

It was shocking and pretty cool to see Jeff again. The rest who was in the camp 2 years back from my class was practically jaw-dropping the moment they saw him in the room. He reminded me of the joke he had on me about my eyes being small, "Open your eyes when you speak to me!" The talk was interesting and he was just as humorous as usual. I'm proud of the fact I actually remembered one of the rule to the camp back then, that "There are no failures, only learning experiences." That brought me to realization that Failure = Learning experience and achieved 1000 points for both groups.

We actually split the class into two during the workshop and compete against each other. We won in the end even though we were losing out at the start. My group consisted of all the guys + kel lee, vin nee and jia min. That should explain how outstanding they looked in the crowd of guys. While the rest of the girls made up the other group. Kel lee and the rest was very 'kind', named the group Clarence(s). The other group was called Angeline. Pretty dumb but oh well.

We had fun the block building competition though. Won 2 out of 3 rounds, darn exciting.

Friday!
After school I joined the rest of the Ex-Co to meet up with Ms Seah. Supposedly I thought we were like going to lunch together with her. Turns out not, what a pity. I shall skip the discussion part as it is considered as highly confidential. Other than that, I think I seriously hate Yi Jun. Yea, why? That's not for you to know, and don't try to find out why.

A group of us, namely Sue Yi, Clara, Sharon, Kellie, Leonard and I went to have lunch together in the neighborhood. Leonard didn't eat much but stole a few mouthful out of Sharon and Sue Yi's claypot rice. Sue Yi and Sharon had their claypot rice delivered to them the latest, Clara, Kellie and I were like finishing and infact we actually finished except for Clara, before the food was finally delivered to the table.

For funny moments or rather Deprived Childhood visit Kellie's blog at http://brains-bimbo-bitch.blogspot.com to see the extremely crazy video, in which I sound totally gay. Totally no idea why I sounded so as I really REALLY don't hear myself as so.

Went down to CSC to join Derrick and the rest for a bowling session. Pretty fun, I played 2 games on the whole, scored 128 for the first and 70 for the second. Had no energy in my hand to throw the ball properly in the second round, my right arm still hurts right now. The cost of the whole session there was "astronomical". We spent around $50++ on the whole after calculation as we played plenty of games. Then after the rest all left, Kriss, Hong Zhang and I went to the LAN Shop. Hong Zhang totally sucked in DotA, and I sucked at CS.

Anyway, once again that spells the end of today's post.

HELP!

I'm gonna request some help here. I need some help regarding the choice of preparation song for the DSA to Anderson JC that is coming soon. I seriously need some comments on what song to sing. I shall post up a list some songs, if interested and think it sounds good and I might sound good with it, please tag to let me know. Of course, the chances that I'm gonna get positive feedback is pretty low, but quotes Leon, "Who cares!"

  1. Oceano
  2. February Song
  3. You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)
  4. You Raise Me Up
  5. In Her Eyes
  6. Awake
  7. Alla Luce Del Sole
  8. To Where You Are
  9. Anthem
  10. Per Te
  11. Remember When It Rained
  12. Cinema Paradiso (Se)
  13. Smile
That's pretty much that's the current list of songs I think I can sing. If you guys have other songs in mind (nothing to hardcore or rocking hell!) please do suggest on the tagboard too. I don't mind suggestions like Westlife and Backstreet Boys, just not very sure if that is gonna be a good choice since they are a BAND and not a solo. So feel free to suggest the song you think I can sing.

CHINESE o LEVEL PAPER 1
Thought it was pretty cool. Didn't feel much stress or pressure even thought this was supposedly a national exam. That made me sort of worried before the paper. Came to school too early, I had mistook the fact that the time should have been 0750 as 0715, thus coming to school seeing barely a soul. I was sort of worried that I might have forgotten the date or something. There was practically no one in school uniform along the bus.

The formal letter question for situational was sort of unexpected since I had thought that YOG volunteer work would most probably come out instead. However, the format is the same and I had nothing to lose. Newspaper Reflection was sort of spot on, the question was within my expectations. Had little difficulty trying to figure out what points of reasonings and suggestions to give, however, towards the end I showed signs of lack of time. I had only 15minutes to finish my conclusion and final point for suggestions. Luckily I managed to complete it, freaked me out for a moment there.

CHINESE o LEVEL PAPER 2...
Can be put to debate on whether it was easy or not. The theme for this paper was if im not mistaken, was between the optimistic outlook to life and pessimistic outlook to life. The cloze passage has some tricky questions and the Comprehension was interesting to do. Little effort needed as the answers can be quoted and lifted from the passage itself.

That's all!
ja-na!
