ZOMG.

The one and only precious rehearsal at VCH is tomorrow! SYF once again seems so near. In fact, it is really very near with only twenty odd days away.

School was pretty great today, even LCL's lesson was nothing near terrible. Everything seems so peaceful. However, could this be the peace before the storm? SA1 is nearing and I haven't started on my revision. It is gonna have to start soon as it would be on everything since the beginning of last year till the very last we are gonna complete by then.

Not to forget about SPA Skill 3 which is gonna be held a few days before SA1. Gonna have to brush up on our theory if we wanna do well for it this time. Just like what Mdm Yaw had mentioned, "Do you want to do badly for your SPA Skill 3 like what you did for the previous two?" (Not exactly her words.)

Also, 20% of our O levels Pure Sciences is gonna be sealed by mid year after SPA Skill 3 is done. I'm getting more and more pessimistic by the moment these days. No longer able to look on the bright side as frequent and positively as I used to. Perhaps it is the pressure faced by the SYF that is coming up. I'm losing the confidence that I use to have in what ever I do lately. Once again, perhaps this might be a good thing. At least, Mdm Yaw won't have any excuse to label me as "Overly Confident".

Why the pope is wrong on HIV transmission

According to reporters present at the time, it's true. On a flight to Yaoundé in Cameroon, his first trip as pope to Africa, home of two-thirds of the world's AIDS sufferers, Pope Benedict XVI really did say that AIDS is a "drama that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which on the contrary increase the problem."

UNAIDS, the UN umbrella organization fighting the global AIDS pandemic, was quick to respond: "the male latex condom is the single, most efficient, available technology to reduce the sexual transmission of HIV."

Is the pope from another planet? Is he stupid? Uneducated? No, obviously not. Does he know something we don't? No. But that might not be so obvious to everyone.
