Skip the nonsense and get back to the present.

The trip to the 'Magic Conference' was pretty cool, just didn't expect it to be held in a pub. 'The Arena' sounded more like some shopping mall or exposed field, little did we (Leonard, Derrick, Roy, Leon, Yi Jun, Jing Yi and I.) know we were going into a pub at our age. Wouldn't say it was a terrific experience to a pub since we didn't get to drink anything.

We had to leave our names and email upon registration to enter the pub. Totally pitch black inside. Was surprised to see that there wasn't anyone drinking, just many people towards the end, sitting and waiting for the show to begin. The whole decoration was cool too, bottles of alcohol in the shelves at the bar. What attracts the attention more was the sale of DVDs on Magic. We thought we could get some cheap decks there, turns out there was only a few Aladdin decks left, which were supposedly the slight lower quality one as compared to Bicycle.

I got one of those though, just to satisfy my pleasure to play abit of magic and so as to not feel out of place in the company who plays card magic in school.

Then after hanging around the pub till around 5.30pm, we headed down to Magic Hall around the Istana at Dhobby Ghaut MRT Station. The rest made purchase of a quite a few decks. However, the surprise begins from here. They check their decks only to find there were problems with them, such as printing error or missing cards in a deck. Strange things that never came upon our minds that could occur.

Things just seem to be pretty unlucky for the group today I guess. Lucky Leonard got to change his deck of normal Bicycle deck for a new one as his deck has missing cards. If I'm not mistaken it does not have A, 2, 3 and 4 of diamonds.

Only reached home at around 8pm after that. Pretty glad that at least I go myself a deck even though it might have been a lower grade.
