Saturday 6/12/08

Was away down-the-town on the east side at DownTown East, Coasta Sands for the weekend. Family chalet. It was quite fun I thought. Went down on Saturday afternoon and was rather much surprised by the new surroundings. Had been quite some time since I went there. Pretty much new to me.

Unpacked my belongings and went to walk around. Mostly walk-walk, see-see. Most of the time alone too. 'Coz my parents are busy preparing for BBQ for the night with the rest of my relatives. My sister had company from her friend whom was also down at the chalet with her family. So she went to hang out with her. Went up to the E!Hub to look around, when I heard my sister and her friend is up at the arcade, I ran up too.

Didn't do much but looking around most of the time when I was there. Didn't had the money for to play. Then return back to the room. Most of my relatives had arrive by then and we decided to get the show going.

I started fire with my dad and my uncle. Learn pretty much from then, which came in useful the next night. Ate up pretty much and was full by the end. Had a lot to eat, a variety of food for me to choose from, it rocked.

The day ended at around midnight when we started to pack and some of my relatives left. The remaining stayed over for the night.

Sunday

Woke up pretty much early and had breakfast in the morning. Overnight Chicken Curry with Bread was on the menu and it didn't came out right for me. Didn't taste at all bad but soon the symptoms began to show.

I was very much sadisitc for the day as Daryl, Eddie, Si Hao and Dylan are coming over. Not, that was a joke. I was excited. I called them up almost the moment I woke up just to make sure they won't cheat me out. But was glad that Dylan had left home to head for Daryl's house. However things didn't turn out smoothly as Daryl left home for lunch before he reached I assume. Dylan thus went up to Eddie's house with Si Hao.

Daryl had lunch and a hair cut and dragged the whole thing. He almost made my day turn sour with his irresponsible attitude, by turning up later than I had informed them to. I had fun at Wild Wild Wet in the morning but I was always worried and thinking when are they going to arrive. I had to call them up everytime I get myself above the waters.

I kept on rushing them, even till they assured me they are on the tracks, and on their way here. But they had me worried sick to call every half an hour as I was resting in bed to get ready for them to reach. At 3pm, the finally reached. I could feel my heart feeling lighter as I picked them up and walked them to the room.

There were some complications with them around and it totally had been a risk to have them over. I had to plan carefully but am lucky that my parents supported the idea.

They had actually planned to watch the circus but as the guys are coming over, I can't possibly abandoned them. Had to sell the ticket to my distant niece.

Meanwhile, as they arrived and unpacked their belongings in the room. I planned my schedule carefully with them. Hopefully and lucky that almost everything shall go in plan. We took a swim at the swimming pool within the chalet boundaries and had fun teasing Eddie for not knowing how to swim well. "I can walk faster than he runs." The pool was pretty shallow, only a mere 1.2m in depth, it was hard for us to swim in this pool. We can practically walk with ease. I had fun waving my hand to passerbys below me. Apparently they have glass panels at certain area that can see through. Some passerbys waved back, while some merely ignored, some giggled on their own while 1 pointed the finger. Darn asshole that guy was. But it was cool.

Then we head back to the room to shower. Took turns to bath and got change so that we can head down to the NTUC at E!hub to get our necessities for the BBQ later. Bought a watermelon as told by my mother to eat after BBQ. Something cooling from the heaty food we should eat. We weren't allowed to make purchase of Jolly Shandy both at Cheers and NTUC. They say you have to be of age to purchase it, which is 18. We totally agree that this is crap. It has a mere 0.5% alcohol content and they have to place such a restriction. Totally spoiled our day.

Si Hao return back to the room before us to get the room key, which is a card, as my parents have to leave soon for the circus. We finally got to have the room all to ourselves. Took a short rest before we return to start on making our own meal.

With my experience from yesturday and previous attempts at Dylan's place with the guys. We quickly got the party started. Didn't took very long for us to start BBQ-ing, but like the guys had said, it couldn't be compared to the speed we took with an electric fan at Dylan's place, which replaced manual hands trying to fan the fire with pain and sweat.

We didn't had alot to eat, due to a few complications.

1. We had only half a bag of charcoal and they are all in bits as they are leftovers from the day before.
2. I had thought we would have 3 packets for hotdogs and taiwan sausages to eat, which turns out to be not what I assumed. We only had 1.

However we were pretty much full. Which was good, as we were running low on charcoal and satay are making us sick. It was fun though, with added guest from the usual 4 of us. Si Hao's participation brought new flavours.

We went up to the room to play cards at around 9. Didn't BBQ long after all. But the night or rather morning was better. My parents soon came back after the circus and joined us. My mother, cousin Cheryl and sister played cards too. Daryl and Dylan joined in too as I watch The Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre with my father. It was pretty cool.

When the show ended, we went out to walk around. We turn a few rounds and finally decided to have supper at McDonalds. Dylan was crazy, having a Mega Mac all to himself. It is crazy as its midnight already. Maybe he's just growing, that's why needs more food. I questioned how full they really are from the BBQ earlier on. We were worried there wouldn't be Student Meal as apparently they don't sell Student Meal during the weekend, but it has passed midnight. So are they going to sell us?

Turns out yes. I didn't know that there is such a thing until they told me about it that night.

After supper, we didn't went up to sleep. We loitered or rather sat at the BBQ pits overnight, chatting over a variety of stuffs, but mostly centered on one topic, with me giving the most thereotical explanation that they hate to hear. However they couldn't disagree. Eddie mentioned that her mom had actually said that I'm pretty much mature, as in psychologically, but I wouldn't disagree to it if its also physically. The last time some parent said something like that was Jordan's dad. Who said that I am pretty much a cunning sort of guy, and told Jordan to keep a distance from me, which was both good and bad. Of coz, the later bad. But my parents always say that I'm too simple-minded. Rather contradicting.

It then started to rain as we could feel trickles on us and the dark clouds were gathering. We gathered that we had to go seat at the staircase if we want to continue chatting. But it just happens so that my mother opened the door as she heard us talking, she wanted to take a look only, but we were under the impression and guilt that we wouldn't want to wake them up later on in the night again. Thus we went in. The guys didn't wanna sleep. I was the most willing one to sleep though, quickly turned in and slept. The guys played games on their own quietly, individually though. Daryl and Dylan played their PSP console, while Eddie and Si Hao played with their handphones. Or rather Si Hao played with mine.

Monday

I got chased from my own bed by the guys in the morning. I was trying very hard to get some sleep before we had to leave, but they just wouldn't allow. Darn fed up there. Gonna make Daryl pay back someday. The opportunity would come soon I believe.

The guys left on their own as I went to eat brunch with my family and uncle's family. We had Japanese cuisine at Nihon Mura. Which is pretty cool. I believed you guys have seen the advertisement of the Japanese restuarants which offers sushi plates at 99c. But turns out they are just as limited as that of in Sakae Restaurant.

Then we went our seperate ways from my uncle's family and walked in the rain to the bus stop to get to back to the interchange. Then train the way home. As soon we got a seat we slept in. Slept the whole journey from Pasir Ris to Jurong East. Some thing I didn't expected. I had an hour of sleep but it wasn't satisfying. Upon reaching home i laid my bags and slept in again. Darn tired.

So here am I.
