I am once again reminded of how awfully Man can be. Have Man stopped trying, stopped believing? Not believing as in God, but rather in being perfect. The biological world we are in, allows each and everyone of us the ability to adapt and change.

Why has Man took advantage of this advancement to make them degenerate? There is a pure line between perfect and perfectionist, the way I see.

I believe that I myself is the later, however I may try, people around me see me as a freak.

Has making them them believing in a God, make them see no meaning to improve?

Or has the news of possible Apocalypse made them so?

Man made themselves a hundred over thousand excuses to avoid things they THINK they can't do. Or they may choose to believe in miracles before doing something to make it come true. That may have been the very basis of anti-theists or atheists.

I try to change and improve, but I am seeing that people are choose not to strive any more. They say, "I am who I am." However they did not see the need to include the ability to improve. If everyone was to stay within their comfort zones, I see no difference between you and a disabled, who would most probably acted on will and try to stand up on his/her two legs.

They say I am proud, however I do believe that those who choose not to Serve, Strive but Yield are those who are proud. For they are satisfied of how little they have.

To Serve, To Strive, and not to Yield. - Motto of Outward Bound Singapore.

Every thought and effort counts, but actions is ultimately the fine difference between one that had tried and failed and the other who doesn't try. Why and what exactly have made Man to become so beings? I am no genius that I once thought I am, however I chose not to beaten down by the circumstances. I chose not to be dampened by my failures.

I see Zhi Ting as a fine leader that I know of, who chose to strive and serve her CCA. Along the way, as she took up her post as Chair person, juggled with her studies that she wasn't exactly great at, she did not find excuses for her failures but went on ahead with what she believe was right for herself. She did what she could and beyond that, that should be the spirit of Man. The thirst for improvement and advancement.

That is a fine difference between Leaders and commoners. You may disagree I am not, and thus I won't brag how I see myself as one. However I truly believed I have worked with a group or rather a team of them.

The present Ex-Co or rather the Top 3 are fine leaders, that I have came to be acquainted with at my Leadership Camp last year October. Those whom I know of at OBS, some were leaders, however some may have been not. Leaders do not appear as angels, there are commoners who chose not to be common. They may do crazy things that no one ever dared to, they may have been silly at times. However, they took that step. They are the people who chose to be different. Each and everyone can be different, as it is all a matter of choice.

That coincides with A definition of Cleristo.

Human beings, or humans, Homo sapiens sapiens (Homo sapiens — Latin: "wise human" or "knowing human"), are bipedal primates in the family Hominidae. DNA evidence indicates that modern humans originated in Africa about 250,000 years ago. Humans have a highly developed brain, capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection, and emotion. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees the forelimbs (arms) for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of tools than any other species. Humans currently inhabit every continent on Earth, except Antarctica (although several governments maintain seasonally-staffed research stations there).

Like most primates, humans are social by nature. However, they are particularly adept at utilizing systems of communication for self-expression, exchanging of ideas, and organization. Humans create complex social structures composed of many cooperating and competing groups, from families to nations. Social interactions between humans have established an extremely wide variety of traditions, rituals, ethics, values, social norms, and laws, which together form the basis of human society. Humans have a marked appreciation for beauty and aesthetics, which, combined with the desire for self-expression, has led to innovations such as culture, art, literature and music.

Humans are notable for their desire to understand and influence the world around them, seeking to explain and manipulate natural phenomena through science, philosophy, mythology and religion. This natural curiosity has led to the development of advanced tools and skills; humans are the only currently known species known to build fires, cook their food, clothe themselves, and manipulate and develop numerous other technologies. Humans pass down their skills and knowledge to the next generations through education.

Generally regarded as more capable of higher order activities, the human brain is believed to be more "intelligent" in general than that of any other known species. While many animals are capable of creating structures and using simple tools — mostly through instinct and mimicry — human technology is vastly more complex, and is constantly evolving and improving through time. Even the most ancient human tools and structures are far more advanced than any structure or tool created by any other animal.

Although being vastly more advanced than many species in cognitive abilities, most of these abilities are known in primitive form among other species. Modern anthropology has tended to bear out Darwin's proposition that "the difference in mind between man and the higher animals, great as it is, certainly is one of degree and not of kind".

Consciousness and thought

The human ability to think abstractly may be unparalleled in the animal kingdom.
The usefulness of this test as a true test of consciousness has been disputed (see mirror test), and this may be a matter of degree rather than a sharp divide. The human brain perceives the external world through the senses, and each individual human is influenced greatly by his or her experiences, leading to subjective views of existence and the passage of time. Humans are variously said to possess consciousness, self-awareness, and a mind, which correspond roughly to the mental processes of thought. These are said to possess qualities such as self-awareness, sentience, sapience, and the ability to perceive the relationship between oneself and one's environment. The extent to which the mind constructs or experiences the outer world is a matter of debate, as are the definitions and validity of many of the terms used above.

Motivation and emotion

Motivation is the driving force of desire behind all deliberate actions of human beings. Motivation is based on emotion — specifically, on the search for satisfaction (positive emotional experiences), and the avoidance of conflict. Positive and negative is defined by the individual brain state, which may be influenced by social norms: a person may be driven to self-injury or violence because their brain is conditioned to create a positive response to these actions. Motivation is important because it is involved in the performance of all learned responses.

Happiness, or the state of being happy, is a human emotional condition. The definition of happiness is a common philosophical topic. Some people might define it as the best condition which a human can have — a condition of mental and physical health. Others define it as freedom from want and distress; consciousness of the good order of things; assurance of one's place in the universe or society.

Philosophy and self-reflection

Philosophy is a discipline, analysis, and development of ideas at a fundamental level. It is the discipline searching for a general understanding of values and reality by chiefly speculative means. The core philosophical disciplines are logic, ontology or metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology, which includes the branches of ethics and aesthetics. Philosophy covers a very wide range of approaches, and is also used to refer to a worldview, to a perspective on an issue, or to the positions argued for by a particular philosopher or school of philosophy.

Mankind by ~HunterSeeker

I abhor the evil of ignorance
To Satan's might it owes sustenance
In stupidity men thrive as bureaucrats.
There seems no hope left in our lands.

I despise man's arrogance
In fallen angels' wrath it finds eminence
Where are God's angels of lights?
There seems no hope left in our skies.

Life has lost all its transcendence
The Earth's beings live in intransigence
I hope our Lord is to our presence not blind...
There seems to be no hope left in mankind.

Mankind by ~anniefoofoo

I hear everything, yet I am deaf to the world.
I see all with absolute clarity, yet am blind.
I know things of little importance,
But possess no knowledge of what is essential.
My tiny hands reach into the vast horizon,
Hoping to grasp onto a world so brilliant.
Which encompasses all without limitation.
But I am unable to comprehend genuine feeling,
Which comes from within my always beating heart.
I adorn a bitter tongue,
And am unable to taste sweet beauty.
The foul odor of hatred overwhelms,
So it is masked with the glorious scent of rose.
My senses painfully dulled to all that is, or ever will be.
I watch as tears and compassion slowly dry up,
And take to the ever mutable wind.
As hope is being ravaged by the merciless fathoms deep,
Fear and animosity emerge from the darkness,
Grasping at what little goodness remains,
Knowing eventually, they shall prevail.
This is the way it has been since the dawn of time,
And shall carry through til the fatuous end.

Mankind by ~oddjohn

Mankind may be humble but exaggerated,
May be loved or affectionately hated.

May be ill or may be strong,
May know right or may know wrong.

Though separated from brute creations,
May divide to make bloody nations,

Formed with money and prosperity,
Whose only weakness is war and poverty?

They may be made to excel for knowledge,
But for this they do not acknowledge.

Although all men will not last forever,
All will fall eternally together.
