The Bermuda Triangle

Thought I would start with something interesting like this.

The trip down to Science Centre today for the Paper Airplane Guy Workshop was a good choice. The three of us had great fun and were seriously amazed by his paper airplanes. Responded with wonderment and awe. The sad thing about it was there were barely any one of our age around. Those who were around were mainly at the extreme ends. The parents and their kids. When I say kids, I seriously mean kids who jump and shout like no man's business. They were running and screaming about the Annexe.

The Airplane Guy started off with showing us a simple glider and a dart. The glider was slow and smooth, as in the way it moved. The dart, was fast and sharp. It flew right into the air at quite a speed as it lifted off his hand, and it flew right to the back of the crowd. A few kids ran right to the back trying to snatch it and return to him. Darn amusing. Leonard was going all fed up, kept on ranting, 'Kids..." Well they seriously are kids.

The beginning of the workshop was a mess as the kids were barely controlled by their parents. Then it soon became smoother as he showed the different variety of paper airplanes. They were seriously cool. I loved the Boomerang-1. It flew out and right back into his hands. Super cool. Should have asked more people to join us.

Near the end of the workshop, we got to make one by ourselves. Well, as he showed us how to make one. It was'nt really cool if you ask me. We also found out that the 2 books he published and is currently on sale are darn expensive. One for $37, and 2 for $60. Leonard was thinking of getting one at first but got a shocked at the price. We couldn't believe our ears when the auntie who sat to our left told us it cost them $60. Darn expensive for a book of paper airplanes. To think anyone would actually earn a living for being good at making paper airplane.

We ventured much of the Science Centre. There was nothing much to see, rather boring and dull. We spent much time at the gift/souvenir shop, but not buying anything. The weather was bad and it rained heavily. We spent some time at the MacDonalds, eating fries and cheese burger. Until we could stand no longer, and the rain was not as heavy, I took out my umbrella and sheltered Derrick to the bus stop, while Leonard ran to the bus stop with his hooded shirt.

Leonard and I waited quite awhile before bus 66 came and we watched as the cars skidded pass by and the water splashed across the road, at times splashed into the bus stop.

The 2nd and final rehearsal is tomorrow!! It is seriously tomorrow!! I heard some rough comments here and there. While I can't blame anyone, it is the truth. I didn't do very well at the last rehearsal. Nevertheless, I am going to go all out tomorrow and at the actual day. I'm gonna show them what I am seriously made off. Roy, we will beat it right into their heads together!

It is show time!
