wohoo!
i'm back!
was sleeping through most of the afternoon
gonna have to start work tomorrow i guess..
zhiting passed me my load just now.
and i saw jordan and junjia on the way at lot 1.
had a nice long chit chat with the 2.
k shall now talk on my 5D4N trip.

note:
skipping some information like food we ate.

Day 1 was a rather plain day,
rather boring and dull. not very interesting at all i say.
well to introduce my watch mates.
RAFFLES!

from BBSS,
we have..
Nazirul, Hafiz, Nurul, Shao Jie, Uma, Shi Cheng, Yu Run
from Balestier Hill!
we have...
Sheng Hui, Joseph, Qi Tian, Hui Qi, Yuen Yern, Kim Eng
and my tent mates were, Shao Jie, Naz and Hafiz

did a few high elements only. then was packing
the meals for the 5 Days.
there were some form of friction among us
due to the unfamilarity
which has a drastic change at the end of the camp.
where the girls cried when we met again at the jetty
as we were about to leave for home.
a rather unexpected thing la.
but they weren't crying over me that's one thing
or maybe they are?
whatever.. but hafiz and nazirul got the attention.
and that moment of silence
as we looked upon the skies of stars at the jetty pontoon

Day 2.
we went on to kayak!
but before that we did some sessions learning
how to kayak. well, for the BBSSianz..
that was nothing much,
given the fact that we have all at least
a few experience in it.
having kayak during the sec 3 camp.
but for most of the Balestians (made it up myself)
they were rather much of difficulty.
no confidence that they can do well in it.
struggled in the waters as we kayaked 1km to the east to get to Campsite 2.
and was greeted by urban environment.

exhausting as we then went on to rock climbing
limited by own strength,
i did not complete the whole of it,
however i pull through and went over my target
which was something nice.
we had to 'pay' for our meals
well note is highlighted with quotation marks
meaning not true.
they had already prepared for it.
and we met the bills too.
for every tile, we earn $10
and the food was darn expensive
rice $10, etc.
on the whole, a set is $100
so you'll need at least to hit 10 tiles.
and the mid section of the wall
is 2 times the pay. meaning $20 per tile.
it was great when we got to bathe.
cleanse ourselves.
by now, our tent pitching skills were
alot better then before le.
i was telling shi cheng, sheng hui, joseph, yu run
that i and shao jie did it faster then them,
in the end we completed it later
then tio suan throughout the rest of the camp =.=
we went to the pontoon again this time.
but the clouds were to heavy this time
so no stars to see.
at one moment it looked liked its gonna rain to next day
but luckily the stars came out to say hi
and that it won't rain the next day. =)
but it would have been better if it rains.
then my face wouldn't have been burnt!

Jill also talked about the rabbit and tortoise story
which was extended de.
on 3 races they had.
so comes to whether we are the tortoise, the rabbit or both.
as the grp and even myself.
the question remains a question.

we also had a SEX briefing.. JOKING!
its actually SEA-EXpedition briefing for the next day.
Nurul and Naz were the SEA-EX leaders from our watch
coz it was done together with Nila Utama.
i keep on ranting, "Sng Nila Utam, saw a lion.."

Day 3!
Once again we went to the seas
12 km of journey in 4 and 1/2 hours!!
we finished quite fast even though against tide.
meant to be like 5 hours?
but we finished it in 1/2 faster then expected.
darn glad about it.

kk
back to main thing

but we finished it in 1/2 faster then expected.
darn glad about it...
k we had the star board by the right, navigator at the tip, sweeper at the back
and the moon board (i think) at the left?
lols
so its like a diamond shape formation la.
darn rewarding when we reach the campsite.
Julango!
no clean water though.
turned on the tap
yellow water flows out.
so can't consume it.
and we aren't suppose to bathe.
the guys then started having powder bath, wiht prickly heat powder.
darn shiok and cooling.
abit hot at the start.
the guys were all jumpin around. darn amusing.
a girl, MJ, from Utama also had powder bath from her chest area
to her ahem there
darn funny.
at first she says not hot at all, then suddenly burning
keep on jumping.
she says she thought coz we got 1 extra thing that's why will jump
so she try prickly heat too.
darn funny and horny LOL.
she some more quite chio =X

then we ended the day earlier with a trip to a
hut in the area for debrief for the day and
journal writing too.
and also a debrief on next day's Land Expedition.
after the day, alot of pimples appeared on my face
small ones though, with only the pus only.
but it was everywhere around my face.
still we slept on.
we had difficulty pitching the tent though.
coz it was darn windy facing the sea.
had to lay rocks in the tent so that it won't be blown away.

we also had sentry duty.
my shift with some others was at around 1.30 till 2.
interesting sentry duty though.
gotta sit at one corner and enjoy the wind and sea.
it was a nice scenery in the night.
sadly no strangers with bad motives
came along, if not would have got to wack him
hahas.

Day 4
land expedition trip was exhausting
much more exhausting then compared to the sea expedetion.
becoz we didn't got to bath the day before
i got abbreation at the near of the trekking
lucky it wasn't really serious as it was over
after i bath when we reach campsite 2.
along the way we got to eat durians
which was meant to be a no-no.
but jill was too late to stop us.
and thus we ate. its a secret among the watch. =)

we went onto the West of Pulau Ubin, Chek Jawa.
where we saw the corals
k not really saw them, but got to the habitat they live in.
and also we went on east to visit the German Girl Shrine
where the girl was worshipped by gamblers who buy 4D
and got rewarded well to.
at her shrine also lies 17 other deities.
i shan't use the word God. sounds sooo wrong.
it was also said that her ashes were missing from the pot
it was once placed in.
so she was known to be formless too.
an interesting story about her.
now, her altar is replaced with a barbie doll.
its said that her parents were plantation boss in that area
when the WW2 came about.
she was chased and drop into the quarry in that area.
rushing through the story
no1 knows the exact story of her tale
and how she came to be worshipped.
it remains a story unrevealed.
Tale of a girl
from afar, German.

* recieves an sms to meet at novena at 5pm for dinner with Raffles*

we also went to the highest point of Pulau Ubin
can't remember the name of it
but we got to shout at the quarry
and get echos.
as Jill went on to explain a story on the quarry.
of a boy who was bad tempered and was
sent by his father to the quarry.
whenever he was angry he would shout at it and it echoes back.
he never knew that it was actually echoes,
thinking that its actually another person talking to him.
soon he begins to cools and becomes a better tempered person.

along the way we saw hornbill,
thus comes the line on the poem,
Bill shaped like a horn
and also there was the shy wild boar
Bore animal yet shy
we also had a great dinner
as Jill made us a desert or rather appetizer
as we ate the apple crumble
rather nice, can't recall what isit called though.
anyway, we had alot to cook and to be eaten.

after dinner we meet up again to the pontoon
but it was taken up.
so we stayed near the Jetty.
the skies rather cloudy and ready to rain anytime.
this time we talked about ghost stories.
as Naz's grandmother is Mdm Kadijah
he had quite a few to share.
very interesting ones from the rest too
i shared mine also.
the Balestians had a few to share
but mainly from our school.
the girls from Balestier Hills
were shouting throughout the whole story telling session la.
darn funny.

Day 5
the night ended
and the rain followed suit.
lucky we were in our tents and it was in the middle of the night.
but it was a rather long one
as it was around the time we woke up
has some problems carrying out our plans for the day
but lucky that the rain was only around for some time.
played some commitment games.
as we took turns to jump from around 1m in height stand
and try to touch a bell at around our eye level or lower
where the rest prevents the fall.
you had to say your goal before you do the jump
i said mine in one word, "Cleristo."

then we also had souvenir shopping
bought a $15 sleeveless shirt
and also got our photos we took at the start.
there was one memorable activity we had before the commitment activity
we all sat around in shelter and relate on 3 questions.
The happiest moments in camp, the saddest moments, the learning point.
thus comes the last poem as i shared it then.
we had a cotton thine being passed around to each other as we took turns
to make our point.
it then became the "Raffles Web" as it looked like a web
and it ties between Raffles then.
the saddest moment arrived as Jill started to cut the rope
everyone was left with a part of the web
and nothing more.
for that moment, everyone started to feel all so down and sad,
on the verge of crying most of us were.
now that part of it lies in my room.
tied up and shall be stored along with the photo.
another memorable experience at camp.
even though many of us struggled through
and said many things like how bad the camp was
like the food and environment.
but it turns out to be better than we though at the start.

the Balestians got onto the boat first
a few of us reach there earlier then the rest
and we managed to meet with the Balestians.
it was a saddening moment
as the girls cried.
and they crowd around Naz and Hafiz.
felt abit sour to tell the truth.

walked down and up the hill with roy
as i abandoned the rest
and left off ahead first.
walked like a kilometer or so
until we couldn't take it and saw a bus 82 leading to Serrangoon
which turns out that it might have been a bad choice to board
as we had some difficulty reaching back home.
my OLD basketball shoes also started to open its mouth and talk
along the walk. had to wear slippers.
carried the heavy luggage and went to WestMall to have lunch
only to reach there at around 4.
long journey from the Jetty to WestMall.
we then split out ways and went home respectively.

laid on the bed and rested
the moment i reached home
or not. was online posting as you noticed my post.
still feeling dizzy today though.
from the kayak i suppose.

shall end of here.
if i missed out anything,
or if my dear readers have anything to ask
feel free to tag..
its a long post indeed.. =)
