presenting two poems that i wrote at the Seminar a mth ago,

Appearance and Reality

Where appearance meets reality
the nature of two bends
the unreal behind appearances
that hides one true character
the reality that hides behind appearances
covered in the midst of shadows
where one is neither the other
and differs each other...

Untitled
The clock ticking along with the minutes
across the island, I stumbled
forcefully upon the seas. I am tired
of walking, an everlasting journey
comes to a rigid end.
Your wide wells, the grasp
of your clutchesin betwee, caught me here
half-dead, half struggling a work
of the silent ocean's wondering tides
held bacl, leaving markings carved in the air
and submiting the grounds as its own.
Thus this I am ingraved on, engraved in, and crave
myself in you. Bid farewell this moment every soul.
Indulged how thr crys, like a flock of owls,
hooting on the trees in the woods.
Reveal, unfold, release your soul to me, your dreams.
Look into my eyes. your life journal, and write
Your fears and cries
in you, shout out to me.
Your stumbles and silence
over you, kept a secret in me.

some other poems i got from the seminar
interesting ones in fact...

How To Be a Poet
by Wendell Berry

Make a place to sit down.
Sit down. Be quiet.
You must depend upon
affection, reading, knowledge,
skill - more of each
than you have - inspiration,
work, growing older, patience,
for patience joins time
to eternity. Any readers
who like your work,
doubt their judgement.

Breathe with unconditional breath
the unconditional air.
Shun electric wire.
Communicate slowly. Life
a three-dimensioned life;
sta away from screens.
Stay away from anything
that obscures the place it is in.
There are no unsacred places;
There are only sacred place
And desecrated places.

Leaf's Fall
by Paula Bentley

So,
Frost was
right then. The
gold cannot stay/
Crinkle of a world
sighs into a long slide
through blaze of echoing leaves.
Believe, know, each vein holds unfold
wonders and understand more than we
can see. Be silent, and watcj the leaf's fall.

the above poem, Leaf's Fall is an example of a ethree
where the word syllabus increases each line, like a triangle...

Introduction to Poetry
by Billy Collins

I ask thm to take a poem
and hold it up to the light
like a color slide
or press a ear against its hive.

I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room
and feel the walls for a switch.

I want them to waterski
across the surface of a poem
waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do
it tie the poem to a chair with rope
and torture a confession out of it.

They begin beating it with a hose
to find out what it really means.

Poem
by Alexander Pope

Sir, I admit your general rule
That every poet is a fool'
But you yourself may serve to show it;
That every fool is not a poet.

that should do it,
k gotta blast!
